The 6th gen Nomad retains a bit of its freeride prowess from prior generations with a 27.5-inch rear wheel that's perfect for roosting berms and sending massive drops, while a 29-inch wheel up front lets us navigate chundery chutes with precision and rollover big obstacles with ease. The Nomad is ready for whatever we throw at it, with 170mm of VPP rear suspension and a revamped suspension curve to minimize the harshness of square-edge impacts. A 63.5-degree headtube angle in the low position gives us stable yet responsive handling while a relatively steep seat tube angle allows us to get into an efficient pedaling option when we have to tackle a long stage transfer. The Gearhead favorite Glovebox storage compartment gives a place to stash some snacks or an extra layer, along with all our essential tools for the trail.

SRAM's X01 Eagle AXS 12-speed electronic drivetrain delivers instant shifting even in last-second shift situations. A Fox Factory 38 fork with 170mm of travel gives us all the travel and torsional stability we need to hold a line in the chunkiest of descents, while a Fox Float DHX2 Factory coil helps soak up massive hits and lets us ride out bombholes with style. Responsive Reserve 30|HD are laced up to quick-engaging Industry Nine 1/1 hubs for instant acceleration, and a pair of burly Code RSC brakes deliver plenty of stopping power giving us the confidence to push the pace in steep terrain.
