Backcountry was great with help and sent me to Salomon for support. Salomon was great and gave me a partial refund. What I’m not happy about is they’ve spammed my email ever since and I’ve unsubscribe 7 times so far. The eyelet broke after 50 miles which isn’t good for a $170 pair of hikers. I wouldn’t recommend doing business with them.

Not bad, need more time to get to know them
Purchased on sale a few weeks ago. I’ve been stomping around for a bit. I have a pair of quest mids going strong 7 years. And they are awesome. These ultras run a little long. Maybe a half size or so by direct comparison with the other Salomon sneakers and boots I have. I don’t know for sure until they are broken in and I log a long hike but they feel nice enough. I Always buy sale colors and these ones I would buy again over all black.

Poor quality, not waterproof
I bought these less than a month ago and one of the shoes is already leaking water into my left toe area from just rain. Not worth the cost. Extremely disappointed in quality and durability for the price.

All day comfort
Been wearing Vasque but thought I’d try them. Size is pure. Foot bed and arch contour is better. Softer grippy sole gave me confidence to climb some Arkansas terrain I hadn’t done in 4 years. I appreciate the continuity from the sole to the upper. I can tighten or relax lacing and boot holds desired shape. Going thru gravel river beds was no problem and remained dry. There’s attention to details ( laces, eyelets, front toe, lightweight ) I appreciate. Still pretty new for me, but great first impression so far!
