The Salomon Shelter CS WP Boot blends the line between backpacking performance and a city hiker. Constructed with a softshell upper and a ClimaSolomon waterproof and breathable membrane, this boot breathes exceptionally well when working hard while providing winter protection from snow and slush. Salomon's Advanced chassis and Diecut Ortholite sockliner provide a stable and comfortable platform for long days on your feet. The protective heel and toe cap defends your feet from bashes on rocks or curbs, and the Winter Contragrip sole offers premium traction in winter conditions.

Great winter hiking shoe

These shoes are great right out of the box. Very lightweight and comfortable, but very solid quality as well. I didn?t want a really tall winter boot so these were exactly what I was looking for. They are exceptionally warm. To the point where I wouldn?t wear them in temps over 40. Overall, I?m extremely happy with the purchase. The sizing does run a little on the small side. I wear a 10 in everything including other Salomon hiking shoes. Needed to go up a half size on these.
