No grip at all on wet surfaces
I love those shoes, one of my favorites for fit and comfort on long distance training runs and ultra trail races. However the rubber has absolutely no grip if the terrain is technical and wet or muddy. How come such expensive shoes have no grip? You have other models with good rubber, why not use the same for a long distance shoe? I just don’t get it. I run on the mountains most of the time here in Seattle and this lack of grip is a huge disappointment. I wish I could wear these shoes more often, but that’s never going to be the case. I have been wearing Salomon all my life and buying the s/lab was such a big investment and now I have an excellent pair of shoes I can only wear for about 3 months of the year…. Huge disappointment.

Fits like a GLOVE!
Was hesitant at first, but after a day or so of breaking them in, these things are incredible! Can’t wait for many adventures up in the mountains with them.

Great Trail Running Shoe
This is a great shoe for trail running - light and form-fitting enough that your foot doesn't role around in them. Only complaint is that the lugs wear down relatively quickly (maybe 6mo - especially if you include some road in your runs). I'm a loyal customer of these shoes after having gone through many pairs.

Like a glove!
Definitely very form fitting. I usually have difficulty finding shoes for my narrow feet, but these fit the bill. Feel very stable and comfortable. Can't wait to get them into the mountains this summer.

Performance
I love hiking and trail running with my dog. I am a personal trainer and fitness is number 1 part of my life. I time myself during my some of my hikes and trail running days. I noticed my new salmon shoes has been helping my performance and I have been finishing my trail running faster by 5 to 10 minutes compared to before.

Main Technical North American Shoe
These shoes have been a staple in my closet for all of my trail races that take place in Canada and Northeastern American trails. I find the weight to support ratio for technical terrains is exactly what I need. The shoe also provides a bit more room in the toe box compared to the majority of Salomon shoes.
