So sad
I bought these thinking they would be similar to the 3464 Carol Oro boots I am so in love with, but these are terrible quality in comparison to the old style. The leather is crackly and cheap feeling. It wrinkles just by touching it, almost like a foamy feeling. I returned them and am now scouring the internet trying to find someone, anyone reselling Carols.

Horrible, garbage quality
I'm a huge red wing fan. My Pecos boots are 10 years old, and I have several other old pairs that are going strong. Got this for my wife recently, and, man, what a horrible boot. The leather is awful quality, and discolors easily. The leather is so thin and crappy, that any moisture seeps through the leather and permanently damages it. They've barely been worn, and it looks like the leather will crack within a year. The materials are so awful, though the actual crafting seems fine.

Absolutely love these boots!
Was contemplating for a while to get chelsea boots from here or another brand but ultimately chose red wing because i have 2 other different style boots from them and have nothing but good things to say about it! it's very hard to find stores that carry red wing around where i live, it is non-existent, so i purchase the chelsea boots online without trying it on, in olive mohave color. i have read about this chelsea boots being very tight for wide feet (which i have) i went with size 9. it's indeed very very tight, took me about a week or so to break it in and definitely use slightly thicker and long socks to prevent blisters. i'm normally a size US 8,5 in most sneakers but my two other boots, were both in two different sizes. i have iron ranger in size 9 and soft moc in size 8.5. to be fair, everyone has different feet, i may not be going through as much pain breaking in these boots, but maybe some others did or didn't either but it really shouldn't refrain you from buying these boots though. they're definitely built to last. very satisfied with my purchase! and the olive color is very beautiful! highly recommended :)

Love Them!!!
Bought a few weeks ago and I absolutely love them! I'm still breaking them in but it hasn't been bad and I love the look, feel and quality of these. Looking forward to having these for a very long time.

Well made, size up was a good idea
I have been looking for a black Chelsea style boot that is sturdy enough for the winter but delicate enough to dress up. These boots deliver. I have a pair of the Redwing Harriet boots as well in brown and I love them, so I knew my next black pair needed to be able to compete with them, and Redwing was the answer. I like the heel on my Harriet but they weren't always as comfortable after a day of teaching as I would like them to be, so the low heel on the 6-inch Chelsea sounded better for comfort purposes and the ability for it to be casual. I got an 8.5 in my Harriet boots and that was fine (a little tight but after break-in just fine), but I sized to a 9 in this boot after reading that they could be a little narrow at the top and with the knowledge I would want to wear pretty thick socks sometimes with these. The 9 was a great choice -- they fit right out of the box. My only warning is that the ankle is very snug -- I like to have some ankle showing so I wore shorter socks my first day with them and that was a mistake...rubbed my ankles raw! Next time I wore longer socks and they were MUCH better. They may stretch with wear to the point I could wear shorter socks but I'm still happy even if they don't. Let this review be your sign...buy the boots!

Beautiful boot
I have a very wide foot, and its taking some work to break in my boots but it’s absolutely worth it because I know the leather is stretching and they are going to outlast me. I went from construction to retail due to injury and have been working in my steeltoes because theyre the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned, so I purchased the chelsea to wear at work knowing the quality is too notch. I plan to buy a few more heritage styles, now all you need is a red wings flippy floppy and i will never buy another brand

Sturdy, Comfortable, and Waterproof
I have now owned these boots for over 2 years and they still wear excellently. They took a short breaking in period to become as comfortable as they are, but I could now wear them without socks and not get a blister. They are waterproof which is great for fall and winter days when you want to wear something nicer than snow boots, and the Vibram soles provide excellent traction on slippery surfaces. Any scuffs or spots from water or salty snow melt wipe off easily. They are like very high quality winter boots but much more attractive. I had one small issue which was some fraying along the top edge of the elastic panel, but I took it into the shop where I bought them and the salesman fixed it for me for free.

Great boot for Minnesota winters
Bought these boots at the end of September in hopes of having a boot that I could wear to work at my clinic and outside when it gets cold. I was super surprised that I didn’t have a break in period. My shoes were comfortable from the start. I have worn them everyday since and they have held up well when walking through snow and slush.

Wow- I seriously love these boots!
I got these boots for my birthday from my parents (my dad is a retiree and gets a great deal). After a few months of wearing them, I have to say they really are great boots. They are stylish, well-made, and comfortable. I had ankle surgery a few years ago so I’m very picky about my footwear and am happy to say that these give me everything I need in a pair of shoes.

My favorite shoes!
I own three pairs of Red Wing heritage boots, but these are my absolute favorite. They are comfortable, great for travel, and make any outfit look polished. I love that I can quickly throw them on when I'm in a hurry, and they look great with jeans. I bought these shoes a year ago and they are still in great condition (I wear them 3-4 days a week).
