You shouldn't have to put the equivalent of a full-sized flashlight on your bike just to see where you're going in the dark. New Jersey-based Princeton Tec created its Push Light to illuminate the trails or road while staying out of your way.
The Push offers 165 lumens of power, and it gives high, medium, and flash mode options to choose from — in flash, the battery can last up to 63 hours. If you'll be riding on the road, turn on the additional side lights for 260 degree visibility and to keep you more visible to approaching motorists; the side lights can also be turned off to let you focus on what's ahead.
Lock the Push onto your handlebars using an included bracket to keep it secure, and don't worry about taking it off during a passing shower. The Push has Level 1/IPX7 waterproof certification, which means that unless a thunderstorm has you submerged in one meter of water for over 30 minutes, you're OK to head out in the rain.
