    Warmth, style, and packability.

The Women's Lyra Down Jacket from Prana is the perfect blend of warmth, style, and packability. To help protect you from the elements, Prana used a DWR treatment on the nylon shell, coupled with 700-fill down insulation to keep you plenty warm. The drop-in side pockets are perfect for warming up your hands or holding some snacks for the journey ahead. Because there will be times when things get warm, Prana made it so that the Lyra can stuff into its own internal mesh zippered pocket, making this a very travel-friendly garment.

    Shrunk when washed

I love this jacket. I use it for everything and it's very rip resistant, surprisingly. However, I washed it for the first time and followed care directions and it shrunk!! I had a small which now feels a full size smaller. I'm not quite sure how this happened because it's nylon, but it definitely shrank a full size. Very disappointed, it's a little too tight to wear now, can only fit a thin shirt underneath.

      Love this jacket!

I love this jacket. It is so lightweight but very warm. I wanted a coat that I could wear for running errands, walking the dog and for playing in the snow with my kids. We live in Ohio and have had some frigid winters recently, so it was important to me to have a warm "play" coat. I ordered a medium so that I could wear a sweater underneath if needed. Even if I'm not layering up, the jacket still fits well and isn't too big at all. I've never bought a Prana before but I would definitely buy another as this is a great quality jacket. The only drawback in my opinion is that the side pockets do not have zippers. I'd prefer a zipped pocket as I tend to slip my cell phone in the side pocket and now I worry about it falling out.

      Great jacket!

I received this jacket as a gift and have been extremely pleased with it. It’s ultralight, warm, and offers the “sporty” look I like in a product like this one.

Some of my favorite features include:

      > Large internal pockets which can easily hold a cell phone, keys, chapstick, etc.

      > Zippered collar and fitted cuffs (or “storm cuffs”) which keep wind from whipping up your arms

      > Resists moderate wind (I live in the Idaho Panhandle where it can be quite cold and windy in the winter)

      > Lightweight (This thing weighs virtually nothing, yet is warm thanks to the down insulation)

      > Is fitted, but still extremely comfortable

I can’t really say there are any drawbacks to this jacket, but I would mention that it runs a tad small around the underarm area, at least to me. As a result, I had to exchange a small for a medium. (I’m 5’4, 125-130 pounds, and relatively fit/trim); I also wonder how tear-resistant the lining is; when out hiking/walking, I’ve wondered whether or not my keys might poke a hole in the jacket.

FYI: The website makes the “deep sea” color option look light blue…but it’s really more of a greenish blue and the trim is tennis ball yellow. I know that doesn’t sound super attractive, but it really does look quite nice once you see it in person.
