Black hole duffels are the best bag available. Simple as that. But the service? I made my order on a Tuesday and received it Thursday afternoon. Apparently, Backcountry is the best in the business when it comes to service. Simple as that. (FYI: I made an order from a competitor four days prior to this order and have yet to receive even the shipping announcement.)

Good duffle/ backpack for carry on
I need a soft sided carry on bag for upcoming travel and really wanted a duffel that could be carried as a backpack. This works perfectly, stores small, and seems to swallow an impressive amount of stuff.

Great Packable Bag

Great bag, it's a bit smaller than I was expecting but I like the carry on ability. It's DIFFICULT to get packed into itself, but with a YouTube video it made it a bit easier. Definitely a plus for storing it. The material is thicker than I was expecting, not a bad thing imo. At least it should be pretty durable.

Nice Carry On size Bag!
Just received our 40L size bag and decided it is the perfect size for our purpose. The bag arrives packed in it’s own pocket and is quite interesting trying to unpack it. Once unpacked it takes shape and your first thought is it might be too small. We loaded it up with clothing and accessories to see how it actually worked as a backpack with the included straps. We were truly amazed at how much gear it can hold. We were thinking this bag may work better for us than another “spinner” type rolling carry on given that we sometimes find the airlines want to collect the rolling carry on luggage and put it in their cargo hold rather than letting you take it on board. Turns out this bag does hold every bit as much stuff as our rolling carry on spinners but without out the risk of being directed to leave the bag on the ramp prior to boarding the plane. Great find!

I have used this bag multiple times and it is amazing. I would recommend to anyone that wants a simple carry on bag that you can wear. The material seems extremely durable as well.

Much smaller than expected

For a bag costing over $100 and being this small I?m kind of shocked. Even though it?s 40L it seems smaller than my 34L rucksack which is rather surprising. When it arrived it?s so tightly packaged I literally had to pull and wrestle with it to get it unpacked for a solid five minutes. If you?re getting this to use as a carry on for a weeks worth of light clothes and a couple pairs of shoes I suggest going with something else as this is more of a weekend couple day item bag.

I purchased the 40L as I realized I was turning into a bag lady. A few guys I work with have then and they were absolutely pleased. When the bag came it was a little unusual how it was packaged but once it was unpacked I realized it was too small for my travel needs. When I called Back Country they helped me out and immediately ensured I was able to go to the 55L with a return and not much more out of my pocket. I?m very impressed with how easy this was
