Trailbreaker II Softshell Pant
The Outdoor Research Trailbreaker II Softshell Pant is designed for high-output winter travel. Whether you're on the skin track or boot packing to the summit, the softshell construction keeps you mobile, comfortable, and protected from the elements. In fact, the lower legs are constructed with a three-layer Pertex Shield membrane to provide you with waterproof protection when you're breaking trail. The upper part of the pant is water-resistant to still provide weather protection while remaining breathable to keep you comfortable on the ascent. Zippered thigh vents aid in keeping you cool while moisture-wicking ActiveTemp at the waist enhances comfort. Overall, the material is abrasion-resistant to withstand the rigors of mountain travel while reinforced scuff guards at the hem offer added protection from your crampons and ski edges to keep the pant in top shape throughout many seasons.

Stretchy perfection
Perfect fit, move with you in the right places, and all the pockets/extras I could wish for in my backcounty pant.

Great product but I wish it came in a short length!!
These overall seem wonderful and I look forward to getting a ton of use out of them this season. HOWEVER, especially with this style of product where the zippers/gaiter prevent straightforward alteration there really really needs to be a shorter inseam option! Tons of women have shorter inseams but still can't wear a size "small"

Had to return
I have large thighs and these did not work for me. Very tight around the thighs!!! I tried the XL but they were too big. I found a pair of bibs from another company that work well instead. OR needs some curvy sized bottoms! Otherwise they seemed like nice pants.

Great pair of pants for trail breaking
I love these pants so far! I've used them 5 times for backcountry touring and they are cute, very comfortable, reasonably warm but also breathable, and the vents are great. I like the adjustable hip belt for a snug fit. My beacon fits in my front or back thigh pocket.

Upgrade from a 10 year old pair of OR Windstopper Softshells
These are the softshells you want. All the best features including integrated inner gaiters. Makes snowshoeing while pulling a toddler on a sled a breeze! Makes raking wet leaves on a freezing cold PNW rainy Saturday less of a chore! Comfortable is an understatement. Let's just say if my employer had a more lax dress code, I would wear these to office (PS...these pants do not create the dreaded "Seinfleld Swooshing" sound commonly associated with weather resistant fabrics). Another 10/10 from a loyal OR customer.

Great warm weather ski touring pant
Comfortable to wear without long johns, good breath-ability. Unfortunately the gator cuff is too narrow to fit over the tops of my ski boots.

Great quality product
Awesome pants! Very lightweight but work well with a base layer. Used these for spring skiing. I am 5'9", 135 and ordered a M which fit snug but not too tight.

Functional!
I wish the waist was slightly bigger and the seat slightly smaller.

So Impressed, Perfect Backcountry ski Pant
I seriously love these pants. I use them for skinning/backcountry skiing. Every single feature I want in a pant with nothing extra. The flap in the back to keep snow out was a nice surprise and very much appreciated. The leg opening is a bit small but honestly it works great and is nice because it's not too baggy. Great pocket and side vents. It's literally the pant I would have designed if I was making one for backcountry skiing. This is my first purchase from OR and I'm super happy with them.

Love these!
Ordered for my teenager who is an avid skier and rave reviews. Just the right amount of durability, warmth and stretch for all day outside.
