Actual runtime is far from advertised

This light is well-made, compact, and the diffuser lens creates a nice beam, perfect for mountain biking. The power output is more than enough for regular trail riding, and proved ok also for relatively fast downhill sections. The mount doesn't really seem to lock on the handlebar, but it actually does its job, and the light does not move. The one issue is runtime: in real-world conditions, expect around 1hr 20min at max power, definitely not 2hrs as advertised. I spare you the details, but after speaking with NiteRider Support I was able to reach exactly 2hrs on a bench test, with a large PC fan pointed straight at the lens. I can only guess that the Micro 900 has an overheating problem at MTB speeds, and that ultimately affects the battery life. Unfortunately, I bought the light for actual riding, not for lab testing, hence the 3-star rating. It's also worth noting that one of the two lights I bought was performing significantly worse than the other (about 20 min less), so I got it exchanged.
