Water workhorse
I use this filter every winter to filter the water from my dug well. Key to good functioning is to keep floaters out of the raw water as they will quickly clog the filter. This filter fits right onto the hose bib fitting I attached to my sink and gives me a winter’s worth of filtering. Everyone should keep one on hand. It’s a great if there’s a boil water order or like me you’re on a shallow well.

3rd back up to two Guardians
haven't opened it...hope I never need to...but considering how awesome all my other MSR gear has been over the decades, I know that if/when I do need it in an emergency it will have been the right choice...again :)

I'm sure this is as good as other MSR filtration products
This isn't a product I anticipate using anytime soon, but I got it for water emergencies because MSR makes the best filtration products.

Everyone should have 2-3 of these filters!
I love this filter!! I bought a few for my home emergency kit as well as for my work field bag. You can never be too careful with making sure you have clean drinking water. This filter does exactly what the description online says.
