Montana Fly Company's Chubby Chernobyl is a classic pattern fisherman have relied on for years. This go-to fly imitates bigger stoneflies and hoppers when summer dry fly fishing is in full swing, and it may even turn a few fish in the fall on the right rivers. These foam-body terrestrials are sold in a six pack, so you it won't be game over when that big brown takes your fly and immediately snaps your tippet on the nearest submerged log.
- Six terrestrial foam flies for fishing from spring to fall
- High-visibility yarn for easy indication when fishing in low light

Great Hopper/Stonefly Pattern
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
It may not look as realistic as other flies but this fly floats like an absolute cork! This fly is a must have in a fly box if you are fishing big water. Treat the parachutes with Gink before you fish it and it will float through big rapids!
Early season salmon flies
These float high and make a great attractor pattern on less spooky fish during the salmon fly hatch.
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This is a classic pattern that always seems to do well in late fall. They float well and catch fish. Can't ever go wrong with black.
