I bought this backpack to replace my daypack that?s started to fall apart. I needed a pack that was lightweight and had both a sternum strap and around the waist/hip area. Took me a while to find and decide on a replacement and I bought the Matador immediately on seeing it and reading the reviews. I use this for surfing and grocery shopping and it?s as sturdy as it is light. The sectioned off laptop pocket is handy for electronics and books. Roomy - I stuff a lot of wet clothing into it and it?s able to zip up. Love this pack and have begun using it as my daily backpack. The only thing I haven?t figured out is the waist belt - rides high instead of on my hips but I think that?s an adjustment I need to make on the shoulder straps.

I have a few backpacking backpacks and was just in the market for something a little smaller and a little 'cuter' I could throw around with me and take on roadtrips. I originally bought this specific bag for a trip to yosemite but I've fallen in love with this bag and take it with me on every bike ride or to the park with my dog! The pockets are easily accessible as well as the zippers. One thing I really like about this bag is you can set it down and unzip it all the way. The top zippered compartment is really nice as well.
