Why We Like The Marmot Refuge Pro Jacket
Shielding us from spindrift and spray, Marmot's Refuge Pro Jacket keeps us dry in the backcountry. The seam-sealed, laminated construction and fixed powder skirt block out snow, while the adjustable hood cinches over our helmet to protect us from fresh flakes. While carving the deep stuff, excess heat releases through the underarm vents and the raglan sleeves boost mobility.

Great Shell Jacket that Covers Helmet & Neck
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the Refuge Pro Jacket - end of season sale. I haven’t worn it skiing yet, but did test it in the elements. I needed a shell jacket with a hood that properly covers my helmet and neck area from the wind and snow. Also wanted something that keeps moisture out when snowing. This jacket does that very well. It’s perfect for what I wanted, and I’ll layer for insulation. This jacket is made with excellent quality and material, and I’m very happy with my purchase. I wore it on a cold wintry day here in MI and it did a great job blocking the elements. I’m 153 lbs, 5’6”, 31 waist, 38 chest, and ordered a small. It’s a good fit but the sleeves are a bit long, and the overall length is a little long, but being short that’s how most clothing fits me.

Nice coat
Very nice jacket. Cuts 100% wind. The material is soft compared to other similar jackets.

Great shell
Looked a little big when I put it on, but fit nicely with layers underneath. I stayed warm and dry during a very snowy ski week

One parka rules them all!
Super high quality and long over the butt. Is truly a mountaineer parka. Wear your insulation under it from a weather to a 800 fill down coat. One parka rules them all!

Uphill Comfort and Downhill Warmth
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very comfortable jacket - purchased primarily for use on the uphill skinning track. I was initially disappointed in the purchase, because it is fairly heavy. BUT- It proved to be a very good investment, helped me reduce uphill heating because it breathes well and has plenty of ventilation too. I like the pocket configuration and quality zipper closures. Do wish the hood was detachable.

Very happy - warm, durable, fits well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very durable jacket. Slid down a rocky face at Telluride and jacket showed no signs of wear. Took a hard shot from a gnarly tree limb in the right shoulder near the collarbone and figured I must've torn a hole. Nope, nary a scratch. Fits great and I've mostly stopped wearing a neck gator because it's very warm and comfy zipped all the way up.

Pit vents .. Pit Vents ...Pit Vents.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best alpine ski jacket I've ever owned. If you're like me and build up a sweat buckling your boots, you'll love the huge pit vents on this jackets. Air flow galore!!!! Plus great weather proof shell that soft and does'nt male that weird gore-tex sound.

Excellent Ski Jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The jacket has performed extremely well in various conditions. I ski in the NE and protection and breathability has been great. The stretch of the material is really good as well. I’m 5’7 and the back of the jacket just covers my rear. Also have a large helmet (Neo) and hood covers it.

What is the waterproof rating and breathability rating? I have one of your previous Marmot gore-tex pro shells, I think waterproof rating is 28,000. Wondering how this compares
