Perfect Gortex for travel
Good color, length, and fit! Light weight but sturdy. Will be great for upcoming travel. Long enough to provide hip coverage.

Perfect---except it needs a hood drawstring....
My jacket is beautiful and definitely waterproof. I bought a large to fit over a vest or sweater, so it is roomy but that's okay. I love it and would like to give it 5 stars but I'm confused by why there is no drawstring or velcro or snap to keep the hood on my head in high wind/rain. It feels like there is a drawstring on the inside edge of the hood, but alas. I think the theory is that you can play with the edge and make the hood stay up but I couldn't. A simple string would help. So close to perfect.

Good Buy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the color and it's water proof! It fits as expected and feels like it's quality made, what I expect from Marmot. I like how the hood fits over my head so it's secure in the rain and wind.

Great jacket for rain, wind and cold
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is life saver for extreme conditions. I have used in severe rain, wind and it protected me from getting wet and cold. Great length and good fit.

Perfect Jacket for Alaska Vacation!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a packable raincoat for an August trip to Alaska and my friend recommended Marmot. I was not sure what to expect but when I got it in the mail it was perfect! Light weight yet you feel protected wearing it. 5 stars!!

Excellent rain jacket.
Excellent rain barrier and a very comfortable coat. I got the XS and it fits great with room to put a sweatshirt or puffy underneath. Have worn it several times for very wet trail building days.

Very comfortable
Nice color and fit; usually purchase small but bought medium to wear sweater under. Only used once but kept me dry and very comfortable.

Very Swishy
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- xl
- Height:

It keeps you dry, nicely made, quality Marmot. However, the outer shell material is SO "swishy", by far the loudest rain jacket I have ever owned, it actually deters me from wearing it. On the contrary, if its hurricane like weather- this is my go to jacket, I know it will do the job and keep me dry and covered!

Great adjustable hood with Brim
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well made. I was looking for a hard shell and this is a soft one. Don’t think they make hard shell anymore. Wish it had a double zipper where you could unzip from the bottom. Love the adjustable hood with brim. Not many jackets have a brim. I wish it had a breast pocket for cell phone too.

I had my last Gortex Marmot for nearly 20 years. I recently donated it to Goodwill and am seriously regretting it. I am looking for a Gortex shell with a snow skirt, pit zips, hood, etc. I haven't seen any with a snow skirt. Please suggest- I love Marmot!

How long are the sleeves? My daughter is 6' tall and I want to make sure it fits her.

After having this jacket for about a year and wearing it a lot, I notice the outer layer of fabric, outside the GoreTex, is getting wetter and taking longer to dry when it rains. Do I need to re-waterproof it?

I'm 5'3" 100lb and 34" chest and would want to be able to wear a puffy underneath. Could you help me decide between S and M?

I'm not sure if I need to order a small or medium - I have a long torso (35-26-38). What do you recommend?
