Built with the popular Tungsten design in mind, the Marmot Fortress 2P Tent is a more storm-hearty version of the old favorite. It has a full fabric canopy with a vent and additional guyline attachments, so you can batten down the hatches during strong wind and rain. The Fortress kept your favorite Tungsten features like the full-coverage fly, vertical walls, and color-coded clips and poles that make setting it up a cinch whether you're ten feet from your car or ten miles down the trail. Marmot shaved off a few ounces by making the foot end of the tent slightly narrower, leaving you with plenty of headspace without the burden of space you don’t need.

Solid tent!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] bought this for my 12 yr old scout. We used it over the weekend, night time temps were 25 both night. This tent handled the weather like a champ. The easy set up was a dream considering we were putting this up in a minor white out. Thank you Marmot!!

Great, but a bit heavy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tent is about four years old. Mount Kazbek, 3650 meters, -2 C, October. Withstood the test quite well.

Great 3+ season tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little tent. I was looking for something a little less breezy with less mesh for early and late season camping and this is perfect. Enough ventilation with the half window on one door and full window on the other, also a little vent window near the head. Stayed very warm on a particularly chilly night. Vent near top helps with condensation. None to speak of inside although everything covered outside. Bombproof in the rain. Trust the Marmot reputation!

Marmot - Fortress 2-Person Tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Fortress 2 settled high in the Australian Alps next to the Dargo River. A perfect shelter. Superb materials. Copes beautifully with rain, mist and frosty conditions before the Winter snow arrives.

quality product with a simple set up
I've owned this tent for a year now and have used it many times. It has held up beautifully despite being put through some nasty storms. I am able to easily set it up and break it down all on my own. It is lightweight and easy to pack. Would highly recommend this tent.

Sturdy, versatile tent, ideal for the NE US
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased in 2020, mainly because it offered full double-wall construction at a reasonable price. We used on multi-day hikes in the Adirondacks and on a 4-week trek on the Long Trail thorough Vermont's Green Mountains. Its a pound or so heavier than the ultra-lights, but is very compact and the strong fabric and double-wall helped us ride out many cold, wet stormy nights in comfort. We also used for mid-summer kayak camping and used the zip-down door panels and clever openings for ventilation. This year we used without the fly on a weekend trek on the AT in hot, balmy weather (90's) and liked how the door panels could be used to adjust ventilation and privacy. Recently purchased two more of these tents as gifts for my sons.

Very easy to set up, and lots of room.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this tent for bikepacking and it's a little heavier and bulkier that I would like but it's a very good tent, and I'll still use it for bikepacking.

Terrible in wind
I have camped in two storms in Scotland with this tent and it was terrible. On both occasions it virtually collapsed. I spent the nights holding up the side of the tent with my arm. The inner became so wet that it soaked my sleeping bag. I would not recommend this tent for winter or camping in wind or storms. It definitely was not a fortress and was not built for Scottish weather!
