Why We Like The Mammut Neon Gear 45L Backpack
Succinct organization, that's the name of the game that Mammut's Neon Gear 45L Pack is playing for rock climbers. It's like a portable closet for sport climbers, with internal straps that let you hang your quickdraws like jackets, and the external top strap fixes climbing ropes so you can maximize the pack's 45L capacity for a day's worth of essentials. Mammut also added a rope bag to protect your climbing rope from dirty crags.

The bag is big enough to everything you need for a day out at the crag. The loops in the pack for gear, included rope tarp, and access from the back of the pack are some of my favorite features. The bag is sturdy and waist/chest loops keep it secure on your back even on those nasty approaches.

Perfect Bag
This bag has been perfect for me so far. It fits everything I need for a day on the crag. I love the loops to hold all of my quickdraws and carabiners. The back opening feature is also great and one of my favorite features of all Mammut bags. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good climbing gear bag.

Updated pack addresses my problems with old model
The old Neon was pretty good, but the fact it couldn't stand up on its own had it rolling down the hill at points. The rope compression straps and standing up on it's own really make this one of the best packs out there now.

Perfect size for what you need
IT fits everything you need nicely. Hanging points for racks, enough room for shoes, harness, chalk, anchor kit, static line, and an extra layer. S few small pockets for guidebooks and small items. Rope fits securely lover the top!

Awesome bah
Good bag for carrying all my stuff to the crag on summer days, the opening back panel is a great thing to get access to all your bag.

No outside straps
Wish there was way to attach water bottles to outside or have some straps or pockets but otherwise nice pack

This is my go to pack for my climbing trips. I love the ability to zip down the back of the pack to access my gear, instead of retrieving it from the top. With the 45L, I'm able to fit my rope, harness, numerous quickdraws, and other items in the pack. If I run of space, I usually use carabiners hook stuff on the outside of the pack, like my shoes and helmet.

Love this pack!
Fits everything I need and more! Comfortable to carry. I love the updated features: the extra straps on the sides to keep your rope in place so it doesn't flop over your shoulders on steep approaches. Love the large top pockets to keep important things easily accessible and keep snacks from getting crushed. The zippered back panel is so nice if you need something from the bottom of the pack, no need to yard sale! Glad I upgraded, I'm loving this pack!

Amazing Backpack.
I have been using this backpack for about a month now and have 0 complaints. Fits all my climbing gear comfortably and then some. I get lots of compliments of how nice the back pack looks. Looks like a very durable pack which is nice as I am some what hard on equipment. I will update this review as I use the pack more.
