When you make your first turn, you know: you and the Line Soulmate 90 Women's Ski are going to be together forever, or at least until you've skied the camber out of it, chipped the topsheets to smithereens, and hit approximately 17,000 rocks. Don't fret, though, because the Soulmate's tough enough that it should take a bunch of seasons to beat it up thoroughly. It features a tough, light composite matrix wrapping the light, playful fir and aspen core, and extra-thick Fatty edges that are designed to take a beating without blowing out. To keep things light and strong, Line designed the Soulmate with a hybrid Capwall construction, which combines a lightweight cap with strong sidewalls over the edges, providing a killer combo of maneuverability and edge hold for chicks who like to rip.
At 90mm wide and boasting traditional camber underfoot, the Soulmate's solidly in the everyday driver category for most riders, with the ability to own the groomers and enough width to tackle powder days and off-piste shredding. It uses a directional flex pattern—softer in the tip for a more forgiving feel and stiffer in the tail for power and stability at speed—and early rise in the tip to plane over soft snow like it's no big deal, and has a multi-radial 5-Cut sidecut that makes it easy to vary your turn shapes depending on terrain. It's no wonder you'll fall in love.
