Splash Roll-Up Pant
The Kuhl Women's Splash Roll-Up Pant is lightweight with a soft, cottony feel, and just enough spandex in the weave to keep you moving freely on the trail. If you start to warm up, snap tabs on the lower leg let you roll up the cuffs and secure them. This also comes in handy if you come across a mountainside stream you simply have to dip your feet into. And, should you slip on a mossy rock and get a little wetter than anticipated, the Splash pant dries faster than cotton, so by the time you get back to down you'll be dry and ready to grab a quick dinner with friends.
- Hit the trail in this lightweight pant
- Stretch fabric promotes mobility on the trail
- Snap tabs on cuffs secures hem during creek crossings
- Large cargo pockets for stashing trail snacks and sunscreen
- UPF 50 keeps legs protected from the sun
- Item #KUH0211

Look Great! But fit is off
I am 5'10 and 136 lbs. I am long and slender. I am trying to write this to help others. I scour through the reviews for someone similar to me and really appreciate all of you out there who leave a thorough review. So here we go. I am long and slender but have a skinny waist and some hips, nothing crazy but some hips. So with that being said I purchased these in a 6 and an 8. The 6 was a no go - these definitely run small. The 8 was funky. It was tight in the hips, but the waste was gaping. So it wasn't comfortable. If I went larger it would swim on me. So I think these pants are not made for someone with some shape to them. Also I purchased the 32" inseam and that was a definite no go. I know on the Kuhl site you can purchase these at the 34" inseam. Anywho, the pants are super nice looking, but don't fit me. Bummer.

Nice pants and material, but they run about a half size to full size too small, especially in the rear. Definitely not for curvy girls. Only for slim and straight figures.

Thanks for the sizing info! This helps a lot.

Took these on a 2 week trip to South Africa and have ZERO complaints!

NIce material and fit
I like the fit, length, quality and washability of these pants. Good for travel and hiking.

Not for curves
Try a different brand if you are curvy. I have a small waist but curvy rear - I ordered a size six and could barely pull them up. Sent them back and ordered an 8; the only thing bigger on the 8 is the waistband, which gaped in the back, but there was still no extra room in the backside. Too bad, because otherwise these are great looking pants. Maybe give them a try if you've got a very narrow build?

Gift for my wife
Bought these as a gift for my wife. We like Kuhl clothing, and these are no exception. She likes the way they fit, and the way they look on her. Durable and comfortable, fits over boots nicely.

Wear them everywhere
I bought these pants over year ago. I now have a couple different pairs. The fit is spot on for the measurements. They are very flattering and durable. I love the snap pockets and comfort of the material. I will buy more. They are completely worth the price.

Hiked through New Zealand in all climates. Fits true to size super comfy, durable.

Runs Extremely Small
I ordered these pants in a 16 because my size 16 Kuhl shorts fit really well through the hips and thighs and are too big in the waist. These pants barely went on. All the Kuhl shirts and jackets I have run true to size. Don't know what's wrong with these.

Sizing is off!
I have five pairs of these in my closet, all size 12 purchased from another retailer. I ordered three pair from BC and two were at least a size smaller, the third pair was larger, but still smaller than my previous purchases. What's up with that? Had to return all of them!

My favorite summer pant
I raise puppies for a guide dog program, mostly labs, so I’m in the woods walking every day, These pants are the best! The cotton/nylon blend is rugged and comfortable, sheds dirt and dries quickly. The 32 inch legs are long enough to cover my ankles, and I can cinch them with rubber bands to keep out ticks. The pockets are a good size without being too big and there’s enough stretch to allow me to move. And when the dogs inevitably “share” their swim, they dry quickly and shed dirt readily. I have 3 pair.

Not for Ladies with Curvy Butts
I wanted these to fit so bad! I loved the material, pockets, length, style. But the fit is terrible for my curves. I have a big booty and normally wear a size 10 in pants. I ordered a 10 and could button them but they were so small in the butt that they gave me a terrible wedgie. Not good for hiking or working! I'll be sending them back.

Not for curvy girls
KUHL has never seemed to fit my curves ( and I"m not that curvy). I love the lighter material and the cargo pockets on the size. But they are just slightly small in the butt area.

Fits okay, just not for me
The roll up keeps them very long and hits at a bad length for my height. I didn't realize this and that combined with the color is the reason I'm returning. Raisin is a dull brick red. The fabric was a bit heavier than I expected, but it depends what you are looking for. They fit true to size chart and although I could use a 2 for the waist, the hips (me: 37") fit correctly and there is an elastic drawstring to pull in the gap in the back. The cargo pockets are big enough for iphone 6-8 and the others seem to have good enough depth. The legs are fairly straight from the thigh through knee to hem with some knee articulation seams. The back half of the hem is reinforced in case you are prone to wearing it out. I wouldn't necessarily say these are a super active pant. Maybe an active person's travel or recreational pant.

I love them, but they are made small

Gift for my wife
Bought these for my wife. They are great, functional pants, and they look good on her! She just wishes Kuhl offered different lengths, as she is quite short and has had to alter the pants herself.

Would make the Stone Masters proud.
I got these pants specifically to climb in in Yosemite and they did not let down one bit. First off, the material is comfortable, lightweight and I can tell that it breathes. It also held up to my dragging knee problems I have while I climb; needless to say, they have no holes yet! The ample pockets hold all the things that I need, like my phone and then some of my beta papers while I climbed. I like that i can roll them up if I need extra air flow of if I want the cuffs out of the way. In total, I just really like how these fit. I think they're my favorite pair of tech-pants.

Great but could have better pockets
The pants fit really well and I love the color of mine (red). I've worn them nearly every time I've gone climbing for the last 6 months, so as expected they've got holes in the knees and a cool groovy patch as a result. My only complaint is that the pockets are too small for my phone to sit securely. If I can manage to get it in there, the snap buttons always open up, allowing my phone to drop 115 ft. Yep, that happened and the phone still survived. Seriously, why aren't there more women's pants that have larger pockets with zippers?! Relying on my partner's phone for the topo or ripping out pages of the guide book is less than ideal.

Love these pants
Love these pants, they do run a little on the large size, but I will try to wash and dry them again. Still super comfortable. Size 8

Great fitting and very comfortable
These pants will be perfect for a hiking trip I'm taking in AZ. I like the fact they are cotton blend, not all nylon. Plus I'll be crossing a lot of streams so the fact I can roll them up is a plus. The pants have good stretch and fit and are long enough. Plus, there are lots of pockets! I don't understand why some manufacturers do not even put back pockets on their hiking pants. I do wish they had a similar style/material with zip off lets.

Would these pants be good for climbing? I have yet to find thin yet durable pants for this purpose. My normal hiking pants don't breathe enough for climbing.

Give the Outdoor Research Ferrosi pants a look - they're breathable and lightweight. I love mine. They're a super super light weight softshell. Great for summer but super durable and pretty breathable.
July 14, 2014
I've climbed (bouldering, sport climbing) in these for 2 yrs. I find them comfortable and allow for flexibility. But, they're better for cooler weather. They're not particularly breathable, but they ARE durable and you won't worry about tearing holes in them on the rock.

Would this be lightweight enough for hiking in 90 degree weather?
April 6, 2014
Hi Skye, These pants will be lightweight enough, and I would wear these in 90 degree weather if I was working somewhere pants were preferred over shorts, but I would also pack shorts just in case you start to overheat. Cory

Can anyone compare the fit of these to a breathable, waterproof pant--like the Marmot Davos?
Mike D Hilverda
December 11, 2013
The KUHLs and the Marmot Davos are a similar cut and should fit very similar. Do keep in mind though that the Davos is a softshell and will feel heavier than the KUHL, and you probably normally layer under your Davos where you wouldn't with this pant. Though, again, they will be a very similar cut.

What is the rise of these pants (inseam of crotch to top of waistband)?

Hey infp500796, Thanks for the question. The KUHL Splash Roll-Up Pant - Women's has a front rise of 8 inches and a back rise of 12 inches.

I have large thighs, 47 inch hips, and a 39 inch waist. Would these pants fit my figure? And if so, what size would you recommend?
May 20, 2013
Jen, I'm sorry to report that Kuhl doesn't make these pants in a size that fits a 39" waist. The size 16 is cut to fit a 34-35" waist and 42-45" hips.

Does this pant have a 30" inseam or a 32" inseam??? The tech specs says 30", but in the list of questions answered, Josh Chapman said it was 32". What are they?
March 29, 2013
They are a 32 , by my estimate. I am so bummed, as I expected the pants to fit like my other Kuhl 30", but they are much longer.
