As the title reads, these are pricey pants! There are other pants out there that will easily get the job done for a more affordable price. Your gear doesn't have to exceed the threshold that YOU determine to be too expensive to still have an enjoyable experience doing whatever you do in your pants. However, if you are one of those people that searches for gear that excels and goes above and beyond, you will be more than happy with your purchase of these Resistor Jeans by KUHL. I am an avid runner, hiker, backpacker, outdoor enthusiast that lives in Michigan and have worn these pants countless times over the past two months. I believe I have the creditably to recommend these jeans to anyone that aligns with the interests that I have. The material that is used for these pants are a mix of Lululemon/Vuori material (e.g., extremely stretchy, soft, and breathable) mixed with Carhartt durability. These pants are going to last for the long haul. If you think about sustainability when you go to purchase textiles, you wont have to ever purchase another pant. The versatility is worth mentioning. I work in public accounting, I could easily wear these into the office and then when I head North for the weekend I do not need to change. Lastly, the construction of these pants are next to none. When you receive your pair, just look at the stitching and the different "patch work" (for the lack of a better term) throughout the thigh section and lower ankle area. They are constructed in a way that moves with the movement of your body, hence the durability. I have gotten the pants muddy, sandy as I'll get out, bushwhacked through thick forests, and probably have done 100+ miles of hiking and whatnot and they appear AND feel as if I just took them out of their package. I love when companies do something really right! Good job KUHL. p.s. I forgot to mention my favorite part of the pant, the loop holes around the waist! KUHL added double loop holes on each side of the pant in the area above where your hips are (that may be extremely hard to follow but if you buy them you will see what I am saying. The result of which is that the belt stays in alignment at all times no matter the movement you do. Simple, yet brilliant.
