The Kuhl Men's Fuze Shorts might feel as comfy as your sweatpants, but that doesn't mean they won't function well in the mountains whether you're climbing or hiking. On the contrary, Kuhl's revolutionary design placed stretchy knit fabric panels in key areas across the woven body in order to give you the mobility and durability you need to climb or hike comfortably. Kuhl also added a gusseted crotch so you can high-step past technical terrain without a problem.

Just bought these to replace my older KUHL shorts that are wearing out. Great fit/function and I'm pretty sure these can double as MTB outer shorts. They're stretchy where they need to be, fit great and have belt loops (not a fan of velcro adjusters found on dedicated riding shorts).

Solid pair of shorts

Good combo of durability and flexibility. Material definitely moves with you. They handled the scramble to the summit of Mt Langley without a pinch or crimp or any restriction of movement. They also held up well to the extended breaks taken sitting on rocks. I would recommend them but will say I prefer some of Kuhls other offerings that feature their dwr fabric as opposed to the rhinotek on this style.

The shorts have stretchy panels that run vertically on the sides and inner leg. They are really nice when flexing the shorts, it will be interesting to see how durable the panels are in the long haul. The front pockets are lined with the same stretchy material and I have the same durability question...we will see but so far so good. I'm 5'11 180 lbs and the shorts were true to size at 33. I wear a 33 or 34 depending on the cut. I've had the shorts for a month and really like the look and feel. Would definitely recommend them!

I typically wear a 31 waist and since that is not offered I opted for the 32. Big big mistake. Maiden voyage was a 3000' power hike.....1 hour later I reached the top with both poles in one hand and having to hold up my shorts in the other. I love almost everything about this company......but definitely downsize!!

Kuhl pretty much nailed it with these -- I don't sit still well, and need a short that can be flexible to most any need -- from work to play -- and these certainly are. Flexible fabric through the inside of the legs and crotch ensure things never get bunched up, and help to maintain some airflow when I'm really putting them to the test. The seven pockets allow me to organize and protect most anything, including my phone on the side of the leg, which is key. I'm typically between a 30-31 in most shorts/pants, and found the 30 to be perfect, especially as they stretched out a touch. I'd give them five stars if they were a bit more tailored in the leg, and made a bit less noise when walking. It's not loud by any stretch, but it is noticeable.
