Picking out a new pair of pedals doesn't require choosing definitively between flats and clipless, and the iSSi Flip III Pedals are here to prove it. They feature a two-sided design with four adjustable pins for running flats, and a clipless cleat for when you want a little more security and power. The flat side is relatively simple, but enables you to run quick errands and go on more casual rides with your sneakers or flat shoes, while the adjustable spring-tensioned flip side gives you the security you want when you're charging on the trail. The Flip III features triple-sealed bearings to offer increased durability, and reduce the friction of spinning so you can get more out of every pedal stroke.

This ain't it
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I put about 200 miles on these pedals in less than 2 months. I only have clipped in so far. The left one started to creak after about 150 miles (but only randomly throughout the ride) and then after about 200 miles, the right pedal started to creak. The green and black paint also chip off pretty easily, but that didn't bother me as much as the pedals creaking randomly. Nothing is loose. Tension was easy to change and clipping in and out was easy. They look really nice. Bottom line: I don't mind servicing parts when necessary, but less than 200 miles in? It's not the cleat either and gease didn't work. For what it's worth, I have read in other places online about their creaky pedals and know someone else who has the same issue. These are $100 pedals and relatively new. This shouldn't be happening. Backcountry doesn't allow returns after 30 days for used products so now I will no longer be shopping with them if they can't stand behind their products. Most places are 60-90 days. Lame.
