Good shoe, not great sole
Good shoe, wonderful that it's goretex and waterproof and I absolutely love the simple colorway. However, the sole is terrible, I've had two pairs and it is one of the least durable soles I've had on a pair of shoes. It doesn't have good grip either. It's not terrible, but for a 'hiking' shoe, this performs terribly in the mud. It will keep your feed dry, but you will be sliding around in the mud and this shoe will only last about 6 months before the sole falls off. Please add a durable and grippy vibram sole to the next version of these.

Comfy Golf Shoes
I bought these as a plush golf shoe and they are great! I been playing on them for a bit over a month, both in course and in the range with no issues on my swing. My feet feel way less tired with these. Played in very wet FL conditions -puddles, mud, water, and my feet ended bone dry. Not very breathable though, but expected on a waterproof shoe. Great grip all around too. I had a pair of wide Bondi 7 so I went for wide in these as well and these feel wider. Not sure why. Would go with standard if I had to do it again.

Very comfortable, great shoes but not for me
Keep trying various makes and models of trail runners but I walk off the outside of all but the widest New Balance.

Good shoe, but wont last long
Love the shoe, comfortable, with no hot spots. Long-lasting and rugged, it is not. If you are a serious hiker, these may not be for you. I put in 40-50 miles a week, I don't this that's excessive. The shoe does not hold up, primarly the back sole detaches from the shoe and the front upper lip of the shoe peels away. If you're a casual hiker, go for it, if you want a rugged long-lasting shoe I would look at another brand or a different Hoka.

Low hiking shoe
This is the worst low hiking shoe I have ever had. My feet ache after four or five hours of wearing them. They suck!

Don't hesitate they are worth it.
My daughter is in nursing school and she recommended them and my daughter in-law up in Kansas who is an occupational therapist recommended them. They were right. It has helped my plantar fasciitis. Well worth the cost.
