    Keb Jacket

Sweden-based Fjallraven has been producing durable outdoor goods since the early '60s. Through a passion for innovation and a healthy respect for the past, It has been able to produce some truly unique outdoor goods that are tough, high-performing, and stylish, and the Keb Jacket is no exception. Made with Fjallraven's G-1000 fabric, this jacket can be treated with a water-resistant Greenland wax, which can then either be removed or reapplied as desired throughout the life of the jacket. The wax (sold separately) is applied by rubbing it into the fabric then heating the garment to allow the wax to absorb into the face of the fabric. To remove the wax, simply wash the jacket.

The jacket has two large chest pockets that are positioned to be easily accessed when wearing a backpack or climbing harness. The three-way adjustable storm hood is fitted with a wire brim for additional protection from rain. Two underarm ventilation zips let you lose heat quick when you're on the move through stormy conditions, while an internal chest pocket keeps your map, compass, or GPS out of the elements during your hiking or backpacking trips. The Keb jacket is designed to integrate with Fjallraven's Keb pants for a single rain-stopping suit that will fit comfortably with a heavy backpack or climbing harness.

    • A technical trekking jacket for year-round use on any trail
    • Eco-friendly construction defends against light wind and rain
    • Treat the fabric with Greenland Wax for a waterproof boost
    • Stretch panels at back and sleeves adds mobility to active pursuits
    • Underarm ventilation zips lets you dump heat if you're hiking hard
    • Adjustable hood, hem and cuffs keep the cold from creeping in
    • Assorted pockets provide storage for the day's small essentials

This jacket is awesome, I love the thicker, durable material. It's a great blend between technical and casual. Since it's Fjallraven, you can trust that it was manufactured with the most sustainable processes out there.

    Not like the rest.

Fjallraven does a great job of making products that function, look good but don't look like the other brands. The style is just different. It's comfortable, it works and it's unique. I really like this jacket as it works in a lot of different climates, weather or uses. You can really dress it up or use it for long hikes and horrible weather.

    Highly recommend.

Not my favorite, but it could be yours

Don't get me wrong, this jacket looks and feels quality. The material is a bit heavier than most jackets but that is the style and it gives amazing durability. I honestly don't like the pocket locations for casual wear but for climbing with a harness it would work great!

    Protective Shell

I wore through several sleet, snow, and rain storms in SLC. It held up quite well. I stayed dry and protected despite high winds. Granted I was only walking a block or two at a time, but was still very glad the jacket held up. Maybe the most stylish rain jacket we have on the site in my opinion. My one complaint is that there are no hand pockets.

    Incredible fit, comfort and look

The Keb stands out as the most comfortable piece of technical outerwear I've ever had. And it's aptly named. I intend to take the Keb to Kebenekaise next year. But beyond its namesake, it just works. It is well designed, and basically it screams for a backpack. I like its breathability, especially with the soft shell back panel. And the hood would take care of you on Tatooine...

This jacket is the greatest shoulder season jacket to wear. I love the versatility of it. The hood is insane. I've never had a heavy duty hood that has a wire in it so it stays up in wind while being able to close down to a small peephole when cinched. The chest pockets are pretty large and have little mesh pockets in them perfect for a cell phone. The back of the jacket has a tiny bit more length which is great to keep your lower back warm and dry. The cuffs are fully adjustable and cinch tight. There are air vents/access zips on your sides to get into pockets of other sweatshirts under the jacket or to let some hot air out. The jacket is very durable but there is a lot of stretch/breathable material on it so I would say it's limitations are going through thick or thorny brush like grouse hunting may catch snags. The back has the breathable material which is nice for wearing packs. Overall, it's a solid jacket that looks outdoorsy but yet professional.

Used in mild Michigan winter yesterday..

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: large

I just used it yesterday for the first time, was outside a couple different times for a couple hours each time. It was between 33-35 degrees with no wind. I wore a tight hoodie underneath while I did some yard work and took the pooches for a walk.

I really liked the fit and finish and it kept me warm enough, was never cold. Had it been windy I'm confident it would've been too thin but for the conditions it was great! RIght before I went inside for the evening the wind picked up a bit so I zipped the huge hood up a bit to cover my neck and lower face and it broke the wind well. It's hard to explain but you can zip up and utilize the hoods sides without putting it over your head, it's a cool design.

All and all I'm pleased that I purchased it.

    Run hot in most jackets?

I needed a jacket I could wear literally anywhere as a basic outer layer. This jacket ended up being perfect with its big pockets, stretchy back panel, heat vents, and its over-sized hood (its huge). The best part is the fit, I am a smaller guy so its hard to find a trim fitting jacket that is sized correctly for the arms, waist and the trimmer fit i'm always looking for, and this jacket hit every mark perfectly. Loose enough to move in the mountains, but fitted enough to get complements from my friends. The price of this jacket is reflected in the materials used and the quality of the craftsmanship. All of the paneling combining the different fabrics, leather zipper pulls, heavy duty zippers, and the durable fabrics gives this jacket a leg up on the competition.

I will wax the jacket in the future to give its standard matte finish some pop and to help it stand up to damp rainy days as its not very waterproof without wax.

    Nice jacket

The jacket is light , easy to stretch , and very comfortable. The fitting is true to size- I’m 5’10, 175lbs and a large fits me well. I used it for everyday life and love it!

This jacket work awesome for me as a medium shell. It has kept me dry and warm on the not so cold mornings. I do have to add some layers for the really, chilly days.

    Great Technical Shell...key word Shell

Fjallraven sent me this jacket for their Classic in 2017 and my first impression was this is going to be way too much for anything I am going to need in the Colorado mountains, but I was very pleasantly surprised. This is the perfect technical shell. Just enough warmth for cold nights in the 30s, but not so thick we couldn't wear it at the peaks during our hikes with the really strong winds. Looking forward to using this during the winter as well with a midlayer underneath it skiing at Park City.

    Sorry Volvo..

Volvo used to be my favorite Swedish company, however Fjallraven has slowly stripped that title away from them, I love this jacket, it is breathable, non restricting, and the hood is amazing for the rain. I also really like the option to wash off or put on greenland wax making the garment either more waterproof, or more breathable by taking it off. Also the sizing on this jacket is perfect I'm about 5' 11" I bought a Medium and the sleeves fit perfect and the jacket is perfect length.

This jacket has stretch panels that are water resistant. This jacket has G1000 eco for that authentic awesome waxed look that is indefinitely water resistant. This jacket is fast and fierce. The fit is trim and fast, lean. But not small. However, more performance oriented than their casual pieces.

Great Design with Backpacking in Mind

Sharp-looking jacket. Very versatile piece that can be worn alone as a rain jacket or with layers for a good winter coat.

Great jacket for cool, not cold weather

Bought this jacket for a September trip to Iceland. It was great in the cool weather and drizzle. You definitely need to layer this jacket if you're not moving much or if its really cold out. The jacket gives next to zero insulation. I love the big chest pockets and side vent. I've also been wearing it around town a lot. I really like it. Excellent build quality.

Great jacket for cool, not cold weather

    Perfect Fit!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

My fiance got this jacket and absolutely loves it! Has a nice slim fit in the waist but broad enough in the shoulders. Technical features are spot on for any type of spring/fall mild weather that you may encounter on a hike, or if you are just out for a stroll. Great Buy!
