Absolutely perfect
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer

My husband raves about this jacket. He absolutely loves it! The real leather trim really sold this jacket - it's super high quality, looks amazing and fits perfectly. He sized up 1 size to accommodate a hoodie/sweater

Very nice sturdy down-filled coat
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Medium
This is extremely durable - nothing close to light-weight down sweaters. It is a great coat for Texas winter weather - it would probably be a little light for a ski trip.

ot a winder jacket.
As the other reviews state. Not a winder jacket. At all. Wish I could love it, but I do not, as it doesn't provide the function I bought it for, and for the weather it is usable in, I have other jackets that fit my needs better. It's a fall around the town jacket, and that's it.

Outstanding quality BUT... not warm enough !
Fjallraven quality is not in question and this jacket exceeds my expectations, however, and this is a biggie, this down filled winter jacket is not warm enough for anything below -10 C. The fit is what I would call "blocky" and doesn't compliment body shape - I'm a bigger athletic build and require wide shoulders and longer arms, but the tradeoff is a loose fitting torso and waist. I believe in layering and can make up for what the jacket lacks in warmth by adding a sweater, or another insulating layer, but not what I had in mind. I am truly torn. Admittedly not what I was looking for in a winter jacket (warmth), but I am keeping it with some lingering regrets.

Underestimated Jacket
My apologies to Fjallraven and owners of this jacket. I previously gave a lower review of the jacket after I wore it in 40 degree weather and felt cold. Well, after that I wore it in 35, 30, 25 and 20 degree weather and was very comfortable. Not sure why but I am now in love with this jacket. So well made, tough, warm, great looking, fantastic all around jacket. Again, my apologies for underestimating this wonderful jacket. My new go to cold weather jacket! Cheers!

Not warm enough
Great looking and tough jacket. I wore it in 40 degree day with light breeze, with t-shirt and zip up pullover underneath and went for a mile long walk with my dog. I was cold the entire time and never warmed up till I walked up a steep hill. I see reviews of this being a serious jacket, but seriously? I should be toasty in 40 degrees. Not sure what to think. So I am selling my jacket.

Needs a temperature rating in the description
I've been scoping this coat for months and after too much research, sorry, it's not for a Canadian winter. I own plenty of Fjallraven clothes, am a big fan, but I need a coat that takes the cold, like down to -30 with windchill. I see this coat is good to -10.

Beautiful, well made, Not a Winter Jacket!
This jacket is well made, looks fantastic, great materials, great craftsmanship. Make no mistake however, this is not a winter jacket. Like you, I clicked the tabs on this site, with the last click being "Winter Jackets", and found myself on this jacket. Down, great look, titled "Winter". I'm Canadian. Winter means days of -20°c, wind, and snow. For -10°c, this jacket is a fine outer shell provided you have a base layer fleece on hand or some decent wool sweaters to layer up. But at Winter temperatures, this jacket requires you to buy 2 sizes up, so you can put a layer of sweater and a layer of base jacket underneath it. It is simply not a Winter jacket. So be warned. To the manufacturer, honestly, I love to hate you for this jacket. I'm angry at how light it is because I bought it thinking it was a good cold weather jacket. But, it is so nice, so well made, so comfortable, and so easy on the eyes... you're going to make me buy *another* Fjallraven jacket that is better in cold weather.

Didn't keep me warm
I bought this coat and went for a walk in 30-degree weather, which didn't really keep me warm. The coat didn’t have enough down to provide insulation to retain body heat. I paid a premium price but I didn’t get a premium product. Save your money and buy something else.

Durable and Versatile
I’ve worn this summiting a 14,000’ peak in Colorado (Quandary Peak), and I’ve worn this around town. I like having the benefits of a natural down jacket with the durability of the G1000 outer layer. It’s great for outdoor adventures, but stylish enough to wear on a date. Mine is in forest green. It was a close call between that and the navy color. The leather pipping is a great touch. I expect this jacket to last for many years. The only thing I wish for is a heartier zipper, and for some reason, it is sewn on in the female configuration.
