Highest quality
Don't buy a merino Buff, it'll unravel at the seams after a few outings. This Bergtagen gaiter is so well made, the stitchwork is superb. 100 times better quality. Lightweight; its not like a super thick fleece. Wont bulk up your collar or neck zip area. Definiterly recommend for above the treeline.

Color is Safety/Construction Orange
Does not match the photo at all, if you want to look like a traffic cone, this is the gaiter for you.

Lightweight & Warm
At first I was skeptical of how warm it would keep me since it is very light but it worked perfectly for my snowshoe trip. I was surprised how breathable it was. I have long hair and this was long enough to keep it from coming out of my hood which is ideal for windy days.

Face Protection that Breathes
What originally appealed to me was the orange color, I'm a sucker for anything orange. Once I put it on, I could tell it was high quality. I already have a few winter neck gaiters and was stoked to see this thin weight version could give me protection from the wind and elements without overheating my face. The wool isn't itchy at all, regulates my temp to keep my face cool. I use it everywhere from the trail to the grocery store, much more fashionable than those N95 masks.
