Why We Like The Dynastar M-Free 108 Ski

Slotting in as the narrower waisted sibling to the popular Menace Proto, the M-Free 108 is built for soft snow control all over the mountain. This ski bucks current trends by opting for a beefy and somewhat heavy construction that will create stability and control in deep fresh snow and skied out pow day afternoons at the resort. This specific use is backed up by a versatile tapered shape and rocker profile that will encourage you to ski your best when new snow falls and ensure you enjoy between storm groomer days at the same time.

Great Free Rider but beware

I have skied on Dynaster Chams the last 7 yrs and switched to Free 108-182 length. The ski has lots of flex and turns super fast in the Powder. Easy to ride . The edges are like Japanese Sushi knives sharp and dig in. Beware theses edges go straight up all the flair or the taper of the ski. If the ski encounters any hard surface they start to swim a bit and that back edge may cut into the tail of the opposing ski which forces the ski then to turn outwards. This I believe is an oversight , and a safety hazard. You need to be a good skier for these skis. If you have the skill you can really play with them off piste. On varied terrain and crud these skiis are tough to control under high speeds.

Outstanding Skis

I bought these about a month ago after blowing out my Atomic 110 Bentchetlers. I found the Bent's too soft and not very stable at high speeds and was looking for a ski that was a bit heavier, a bit stiffer, and more stable at high speed as well as being capable of handling the steep lines at Big Sky. After about 10 days on them, I can say they are now my new favorite ski. I am a big guy(6'4", 220 lbs) so I went with the 192. To be honest, they ski shorter than my 190 Moment Deathwish's because of the progressive tip and tail rocker. To me, they feel more like 188-189. They are tough and can handle the rocks and scrapes that Big Sky does to your skis. Easy to maneuver in trees and in steep/narrow chutes and they can obviously handle crud much better than my Bent's. I cant recommend this ski enough!

Amazing Skis

These skis are amazing for all sorts of conditions. I have been using them for about 100 days and the top sheet has absolutely ripped off of both edges and the center. These are supposed to be the best free ride skis o r he market but the top sheet peels of after 40 days.

Great Ski - Wrong lenghts

BEST SKIS, REALLY!!! I simply love these skis. I have the 99 in 185, the 118 in 188 and the 108 in 182 since the 192 was a bit too much for me. I really like to have a 187 or at least 185 in this skis. The 182 (actually 181) its a tad short for me. !85/187 would be perfect. Almost a 1 ski quiver (at least for my skiing style & terrain). Dynastar, please have that in mind for next iterations!!! Anothe russe to work a bit on: top shet is a bit fragile. SOme early delam, but nothing really serious.

Wide enough for pow days, and perfect for groomers

The M series lineup once again proving Dynastar, and the ski builders in France and Spain know exactly what they are doing! Another step up in backcountry and Freeride equipment. This ski is a one ski quiver.

A Powder Monster

I test skis for a local shop in Vail. I had the privilege of getting on the mountain on a stellar powder with the M- Free 108 . This ski is a hard charging maneuverable ski in deep snow . It handles the steep terrain like a champ.

Some of the best skis made in the last decade

I have been skiing these since the 21/22 season in Colorado and Utah. These skis are beyond exceptional in the trees and bumps. They are incredibly surfy but very stable at speeds. The hybrid core is certainly no joke or gimmick. It’s an incredible feeling that no other ski has produced.
