The Cervelo Soloist was once the weapon of choice for World Tour contenders, but after a 15-year hiatus, it has been redesigned for the rigors of amateur racing. No longer a pros-only bike, the new Soloist uses handling geometry straight from the R5 and takes aerodynamic hints from the S5 to create a bike that craves speed and provides confidence-inspiring handling on every course. Cervelo’s World-Tour proven carbon layup is used to create an extremely lightweight bike that can also withstand the beating that comes along with a season full of racing and training. With internal cable routing and a new system that routes the brake cables under the stem, Cervelo has eliminated the need for a brake bleed when we want to swap stems for a new position or to loan the bike to a buddy. The all-carbon fork has plenty of room for up to 34mm tires too, so we no longer have to settle for narrow tires on rough courses.
The Cervelo Soloist Force eTap AXS road bike is built to strike the perfect balance of speed and durability that the amateur racer needs. The crisp-shifting SRAM Force AXS groupset is paired with a 48/35t crankset and a 12-speed cassette that makes getting dropped on punchy climbs a thing of the past. The crankset comes with an integrated power meter too so we can keep track of all our important data without additional components. A Reserve 40/44 wheelset laced to snappy Zipp 176 hubs, pairs a wider, shallower front wheel with a narrower, taller rear wheel to strike a balance between speed and stability that makes us want to push the pace on every ride. A set of 28mm Vittoria Rubino Pro TLR G rounds out the build to make sure we stay grounded in tricky corners. The Cervelo Soloist Force eTap AXS road bike is a lightweight, aero machine that is hungry for speed.
