    New Favorite Bottle!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have always been faithful to CamelBak bottles, but have gotten tired of replacing mouth pieces when they get dingey. They are so hard to keep clean! I decided to try the chute since it seemed easier to clean. I use my bottles all day everyday and like to wash them a few times a week.

Man, am I glad I made this purchase! I was a bit shocked to see the size of it when I opened the box, but I LOVE it! I only have to refill once or twice a day!

It truly is leakproof and I like the idea of being able to snap the cap into the handle, but I find that it takes a couple tries to click. Instead, I have gotten used to putting my finger through the cap strap as I'm holding the bottle to drink so it stays out of my way. It is so much faster and easier! I can easily take a drink from the full bottle one handed.

I have yet to take it on any long trips but overall I am extremely happy with the purchase and will probably never need to buy another bottle in my life (with Camelback's amazing lifetime warranty). ♥️

    Camelbak Chute 1.5L

Very nice, large capacity bottle. Not for those with little hands. A indentation or two - molded into the bottle - would make it easier to hold on to. Storing the cap in the top housing takes several attempts to get it to stay. I do like the small opening which permits easy drinking without spilling or splash back.

A 1.5L bottle that wont spill!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This bottle is fantastic! We've been using the large mouth 1.5 L Nalgenes for years and have always been annoyed by the large mouth piece. It made it difficult to drink water while driving or hiking. We haven't had much luck finding a solid alternative 1.5 L bottle to the Nalgene until we saw this one. The opening is as large as the Nalgene, so filling it with water from a gallon container is not a big deal. The cap on the smaller drinking opening is just the right size to get a good gulp of water without risk of spilling water all over yourself if you hit a bump in the road. We bought 3 of these bottles, two for my boyfriend to use during fire season and one for me to take along on my own trips. The only tweak I would like to see in this bottle is finding some way to hold the cap down more easily when you're drinking. There are small grooves that the cap sets into the handle, but getting the cap to stay there is more trouble than it's worth. Just a minor thing, but it would make life easier. Super stoked on tossing our worn and frustrating Nalgenes =D

Great for mixing and serving booze.

I wanted to get a bladder to hold Mai tai's when we go to the beach. Yeah, I know this isn't a bladder. The bladders I was looking at didn't have the cool features this thing has.
The large screw top opening, the loop to hold onto it, or use a carabiner through, but especially the spout, the partial twist cap is the star of the bottle.

Making Mai tai's will be so easy with these things, ingredients go in, both go into the cooler and then pouring will be a snap, or actually I should say as easy as a quick turn.

What else would I use these things for? I don't usually use cups for water while hiking or camping. What else do you pour? I can't think of anything, so these are just going to be for booze at the beach.

Refill your water? Chute have your bak!

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This bottle is just amazing, it's large enough so you'll only need to refill few times per day. Making it ideal for work, avoiding to refill every now and then. Also it's perfect for the run, since you'll have your hydration right next to you. Long trips, hiking, camping, you name it! It will serve you well. It's highly resistant and the cap system will keep it clean and prevent leaks.
Highly recommended. The only issue might be that sometimes you'll have a hard time trying to fit it into the car or some other places, but it's totally worth due to the other benefits.

        No more Glass Jar

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Everyone always asks me, "Nick, what's with the abnormally large glass jar you carry around in your backpack?!" Truth is, I have no idea. It was a large jar so it held plenty of water for those spontaneous trips to Zion completely last second. I decided to switch over when it fell and shattered literally everywhere. So where to start?! This is the biggest bottle I've seen someone have and I had to have it. So I snatched one up. It's insanely big and it's BPA free! The cap feature is pretty sick because I drop literally everything. It's DURABLE. I drop literally everything. No leaks except when I forget to close it. Whatever liquid you put in it flows out smoothly with no issue. Meaning you can down the entire thing in one water desperate sesh no problem. I love it and I attach it to my carabiner for everywhere I go. 10/10 purchase!

        Water... vessel?

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

At what point does something stop becoming a bottle and have to go by another name? This thing is great. The spout is easy to drink out of, I haven't had any problems with the lid leaking, and it's proven fairly tough. It feels thinner walled than a Nalgene so I can't imagine it will stand up to quite the same impact, but so far, it has held up to the normal rigors of office life (okay, so I knocked it off my desk once and it didn't explode). Good enough for me!

        Water... vessel?

Wow, Todd, that’s a big water bottle.

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Thanks, it’s pretty nice. It’s a durable, BPA-free plastic with a unique cap. The 1.5L holds plenty of water too. Fewer trips to the water cooler, more trips to the restroom. Just the way I like it?

The cap is made of somewhat of a soft plastic, so it seems to scar easily. The stow-away cap feature is convenient for keep it out of the way when drinking, but it does leave indents on the cap just to push it into the holder. Though, if you’re not attached to the pristine look of a new bottle, it’s not a big deal.

Additionally, the plastic mold of the mouthpiece has a seam that runs vertically down the front of the part where your lip touches, so it’s not perfectly smooth to the touch, but it’s not abrasive either. The angled mouthpiece is a nice touch for smoother water flow.

Overall, really nice bottle. Wide mouth opening for filling and cleaning, narrow mouth cap for drinking and replacing. I put a pterodactyl sticker on mine. Would buy again.
