Ride the Wave.
The Blue Water Wave Standard 9.3mm Climbing Rope works excellently whether you're climbing a single pitch with it as a single or sending some big walls with it as a half. Blue Water packed as much sheath onto this rope as possible so you can climb with it as a single or a half rope, and this unique construction gives the rope incredible handling characteristics as well as a longer life. The Wave also holds a round shape throughout its life in order to ease your rope management on big walls and help you find dead spots faster.

Gets better with age
Very stiff from the start, but after about 20 climbing days has softened up greatly. Width and weight are perfect for long multi-pitch days and long approaches. Sheath seems to be holding up despite some abuse on my rope even though I climb primarily on rough quartzite. Bi-pattern is the way to go, and can't miss the middle.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I have been climbing with this rope for about 10 months now, mostly trad and everywhere from Idaho to Salt Lake to Moab. I have been climbing with Blue Water ropes for several years now and really like this rope overall. 9.3 is a fantastic size for multi-pitch routes and saving some weight on the approaches. It's a little on the stiff side but still handles really well after quite a bit of abuse and has proven to be durable. Also, the bi-pattern is solid and really easy to spot the center.
