Why We Like The Stormline Stretch Full Zip Rain Pant
The Black Diamond Stormline Stretch Pant prepares us for rainy treks through wooded forests and huge mountain ranges for days at a time. It has plenty of protection from driving rain and howling winds, and thanks to the breathable membrane and full-length double-separating side zips, we're able to regulate our temperature to avoid overheating.

full length zipper is a game changer
Wish I would have had these 20 years ago...I've been struggling to get in/out of rain gear this whole time. For not being Goretex these stop rain dead in its tracks.

Black Diamond poor customer service
- Size Bought:
- Xl
New, right out of the bag, button pulled out of pants. The button was not properly secured to fabric. I made a warranty claim that took them forever to get back to me. They want me to pay shipping to have the pants repaired.

Best Rain Pant I've Ever Had
Mainly because the fit is perfect, but also because of the zips on the sides. Perfect for cooling. I use them mostly for when the trails are wet in the morning, so I can zip and unzip as I go.

Stormline Stretch rain pants
Great quality and very comfortable. Love the full zip aspect of it to be able to put them on with crampons, shoes, etc without taking them off.

Weird fit
The pants themselves are great! Amazing construction and very comfortable. Unfortunately, they fit very taught around the crotch area for me since I'm in between sizes.

So far so good
I received my Men's Stormline Stretch Full Zip Rain Pants in time for a 3-hour hike in the rain. I wore them over hiking pants and stayed comfortable and dry walking through puddles and mud along a trail in 50-degree weather. These pants were warm enough to wear shorts since I run hot while hiking. Fortunately, I didn't sweat. However, it remains to be seen what the experience is during torrential downpours or longer and more vigorous hikes. Also, I liked the full zip up and down each pant leg that gave me easy access to the side pockets of my hiking pants, even though initially, I fretted about the single rear pocket on the rain pants. But will I miss a fly when nature calls? Perhaps I'll share that experience later on.
