Gets the job done
I bought this to have a t work and not for any real backcountry use. I work as a flight nurse on a helicopter and we occasionally find ourselves in the middle of nowhere in the dark or in very rural places with no street lights meeting EMS. We have loading lights on the heli but it’s nice to have a backup light. The headlamp doesn’t have a red light option which is a bummer when you are trying to preserve your night vision. It is bright enough for what I need it for and it would get the job done if we ever needed to hike out of somewhere if we were stranded but it wouldn’t be my first choice for an alpine start somewhere. The downside is the head strap doesn’t seem to stay tight. It slowly loosens up. In short, it gets the job done but would be better suited as a backup light. If you’re looking for something to be your main head lamp I’d say spend a little extra and get a nicer one with more options. All in all for the price it is perfectly adequate.

Cheap, effective headlamp for my kids
Got these for my kids and they fit the bill nicely: bright enough light for camping use, cheap, fir their heads. There is no red light, which is a nice feature to avoid losing night vision, but my kids are too young to reliably use the feature, so it wasn't a huge detractor.

Nice Standard Headlamp
No fuss head lamp is easy to change light settings without having to go back and read the instructions. Band is comfortable and light is nice and compact. Perfect light for car camping!
