Finally!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I have an 8 year old with a narrow head. I have bought no less than 5 helmets since he turned 3. Every one tipped back on his head, even the toddler ones. I bought this one in a SM and I could cry tears of joy watching him skateboard, scooter, ride his bike or unicycle with a helmet that finally sits the way it should on his head. Our chiropractor recommended Bern because of the design protecting the base of the skull and we will stick with them for sure!

Bought this to keep my nephew safe, he loves it. Can ride with the big kids now. The chin strap fits great and doesn't rub.

Got a Strider for my little dude, so I grabbed this. Fits great, looks great. Hasn't had a crash yet, so no word on durability. But I've had Bern helmets before for myself with no issue and I am expecting the same.

Awesome helmet
We signed our son up for the Strider Championship and he had to have an awesome helmet to go with it, rather than the one we had purchased from Target when he first got his bike. Man, this helmet is everything we could hope for and more, he could even probably use this out on the slopes this season with a beanie under. It is the coolest design, what 3 year old little boy doesn't want a shark helmet? It fits really well, I love that it doesn't stick up on his head like most helmets do too. It does offer great ventilation, but he is a sweat machine so it doesn't really help him too much. I would definitely recommend this helmet though to anyone!

Wanted something a little cooler looking than the ol' Bell style helmet. This not only looks cooler, but appears to function better and stay on really well. The flip bill is a nice feature that the little guy really loves. Highly recommend it, my 4 year old loves it.

This is a great helmet!

I bought this for my 3 yr old since he outgrew his little specialized. I really like that it has some of the best coverage of any of the children's helmets that i looked at. sm/xs fits him great and there is quite a bit of adjustment. I think it will fit him awhile. He likes the visor because "it's just like daddy's". Also, it comes in his favorite color, a plus while negotiating with a toddler. I think this little helmet is dollar for dollar, the best value on the market. I am going to order the cold weather insert. I'll update after i receive it

Bought this helmet because the style and color scheme was better than the adult's helmets in my opinion. This size was exactly the same as an adult S/XS and fits great on an adult head of that size!

Bern Nino
The Bern Nino is a standout helmet, the Zip Mold, Sink Fit Feature and Polycarbonate Shell make for a great fit and super safe helmet. As a Coach of young shredders the Bern Nino is my go to helmet when a parent asks me what the best helmet is and another great feature of the Bern Nino is that it can be used for Biking, Skiing and Skating.
