I received these joggers and the matching anorak for a gift, I call it my "tracksuit." My husband thinks I'm adorable, I get compliments on the look. The purple/teal/black are really nice colors. I wear my tracksuit almost daily. Material is a great, breathable, windproof shell. I would not say particularly durable as it does snag but I have been able to smooth out with no consequences. The features are minimalist, two zippered hand pockets. If I was in charge I would add either a rear zippered pocket or a side pocket for the ever present phone. The fit is a hot mess. I'm not so sure they run small as they run short. They fit above the ankle, tightly, which you can see in the model's photos. For me they fit above my tall hiking boots. The zippered ankle is nonsense, the ankle is so tight it has to be unzippered to get over your heel. But then I can't wear with ski boots because it has a zipper and presses on me. The articulated knee was created but then stitched into place so that it's like a normal knee but with a bunch of seams. There is a reflective strip right across the knee that is made out of recycled razor blades and is sawing a line through the underlying fabric. These are a spring/fall pant as you cannot wear any layers underneath. Would I recommend? Definitely to a short person. Everyone else should try on first. Would I buy again next year even if there were no improvements except for new colors? No. Would I except as a gift and wear daily? Yes, absolutely.

These were purchased for snowshoeing for my wife, they are awesome, windproof, and warm. She is 5'6" and 110 lbs, the XS fit her perfectly. Didn't notice any of the weird knee fit mentioned in the other reviews. High quality, would recommend.

These just came yesterday and I wore them for an easy ~2 mile hike this morning. They were GREAT for blocking the wind - it was in the 40s when we started and breezy, threatening rain that never materialized so I don't have an opinion yet on water resistance. I work in film production and was looking for pants to wear on location shoots when it's windy and rainy, so hopefully they'll be good in wet weather too! I carry most of my weight in my hips and thighs. My hips are about 40" but my waist is smaller. These fit with room for leggings underneath in a M, but I did need to tighten the waist a good bit. Once on I felt like I had complete freedom of movement. I bought the green but may try the black in a small since it's sold out now in medium. The length and rise felt good for me, they hit my boots but didn't bunch at the ankle. Possibly they would be short on a taller person. The knee articulation did feel strangely high. It felt fine for me actually moving around, but the reflector strip does land right in the center of my knee. Unfortunately, it also rubs the layer underneath so it's already starting to pill at that spot. I might just sew the layers together so it stay in place where it lands with knees bent. The reflectors definitely work! They make a small amount of noise when I walk but nothing crazy. I do appreciate that the inner thigh seams are offset so they won't rub together there.

Nice windproof rec pant

I was specifically looking for a light weight, warm, windPROOF pant for winter xc skiing and dog walks. This is the closest I?ve come to finding exactly that. The fit through me off a little bit since I?m used to a more slender straight leg style in my gear, but after using them for a couple days they function great when it comes to movement, thermoregulation, and weather protection. The bottom cuffs fit snuggly over the tops of my xc ski boots and the narrow bottoms made wearing gaiters more comfortable. Same for sliding into my tall winter muck boots. Best thing I can say is that I don?t notice the pant while xc skiing and walking around, meaning I?m very comfortable both in temperature and in movement. I wore a light weight performance legging under them on a 15 and a 30 degree day and wasn?t too warm or too cold either time. Waist band fits comfortably as well. I?m 5?8? and 145 lbs and medium works great, a little roomy in the thighs as a jogger pant should fit. Recommend for anyone who gets really cold thighs in the winter like I have!

Awkward Knee Placement
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Size Bought:

I actually really like these pants- the material is soft and comfortable, the ankle fits well, and they look good?except for the knee placement. There is extra fabric covering the knee and there is stitching that goes towards the knee where you would bend, but this is located at my thigh, a few inches above my knee, instead of at the knee? and it?s awkward. The bottom of the extra fabric flap (where the reflective material is) hits across the middle of my knee and it?s annoying and uncomfortable. I?m not sure how they went wrong here- these are designed for someone with very short thighs and super long shins- which I?ve never seen a person have. I?m returning them because of this flaw. Another reviewer said it was fine for them for camping, but for me it?s not and is a waste of money to compromise on something that should be designed better. I bought them to hike in the winter and to cross country ski in and there is no way that can be done in these unless I don?t ever bend my knees. Not possible. I have cheap pants under $50 that have better measurements and design for the body than these nearly $200 pants. I ordered these in a size medium. I?m 5?9? and weigh somewhere between 145-160lb. Medium fit really well with my thicker thighs and big ole booty. Fix the knee placement on these backcountry and I?ll try them again! They are so perfect otherwise. :/

Great active winter pant
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Small

I bought these for a bikepacking trip this fall and to wear XC skiing this winter and I really like the style and material of the pants. They're warm and cozy with the added layer of wind protection. I'm a size 27 in madewell jeans and a size small in girlfriend and backcountry leggings and purchased a size small. I find the waist fits really well but the knee articulation is a bit short. If I wear them to hit my knees properly I'm wearing MC hammer pants (not great for skiing) and if I wear them at my proper waist my knees feel a bit restricted and the ankle is a bit high. Not sure how they'll work out for XC skiing but it was a fine enough fit for camping. I would have liked to try out a medium but I got them right before my trip so I'm sticking with the small.

Amazing pants - but I need some hips

These pants are so soft on the inside and I really liked the turquoise front with black back. They are fitted in the lower leg but due to my straighter hips, the pockets made them kinda flair in the thigh. The hand pockets were good sized, and the zippers have a little rubber tab that was a nice touch. The bottoms have a zipper so they can open up a little to go over hiking boots but not so much they would go over Sorel's. I wear a size 6 and ordered a medium, my usual sweats/jogger size in most brands.

After years of looking, I found the perfect pants! I?ve been looking for windproof pants that aren?t bulky or baggy like ski pants or old school wind pants. I hike a lot in cool, but very windy conditions so these flattering Gore-Tex joggers should be perfect. I?m also psyched they had color options besides gray and black! I?m 5?5?, 125lbs w shorter legs and long torso. The XS was fitted and a little tight in the knees with extra space in the hips. I opted to keep the SM because I could move more freely. The length was perfect for me.
