Cranial coverage that won't break the bank.
The Anon Nelson Helmet is your all-access pass to winter's outdoor playground. This lightweight, low-profile cranium case protects your melon with the Hybrid 70/30 build that blends in-mold and injection-molded construction for a barely-there feel. But not to worry, it features ding resistance in high-wear areas, too. Fit defines function with helmets, so the Nelson features the
Boa fit system so you can finely tune the fit every time you don this
helmet. You also get some extra fit options from the Simple Fit system, which lets you take out the ear pads and liner to make room for a beanie under the helmet, if that's how you roll.
For the hot headed, permanent vents draw air in and send hot, moist air flying out of the back. Actively adjustable vents let you roll the windows down on the toasty days, and button down the hatches on the extra cold. All the while, the Skullcandy audio compatibility means you can crank the tunes as you're cranking down lines faster than a fiddler's fingers on the bluegrass express.

Excellent fit, comfort, and looks
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I measured my head, and I was glad to find out that I fit into the medium, so I was glad I didn't have to worry about the large sizing of the L/XL that some complained about here. It my be subjective, but I think this is the best-looking helmet. The shape is great, it is super comfortable, and so far, it has fit well with a couple of non-anon goggles. I appreciate the boa adjustments and headphone compatibility. the ear padding is comfortable, and the helmet comes off easily by flipping out the magnet clip.
Hard to fit
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
I tried a Medium and it doesn't fit comfortably, and the L/XL is Way to Big - looks clownish and goofy it's so big. Sorry Anon, nice helmet if it were sized better. The audio is apparently hard to find, and for the price there are many other options. For reference, a Giro Large fits me perfect.
I guess this guy Dave has a different shaped head than me. I've been riding this helmet all season and am really glad I went with it. Used to use Giro, but this is lighter and more anatomical imo. Both helmets get a little wind near ears, use a liner on real cold days and it's fine. No issue with the dial or lining for me, fits perfectly, vent work well, great headphone zipper too.
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This helmet fits me poorly, and in my opinion is poorly designed. The front is too low and presses down on your googles, and the back of the liner digs into your neck. After one day of skiing, I had a burn/welt where the liner and it's adjustment dial had dug into my neck. In addition, the earflaps splay outward and funnel the wind into the helmet, which makes for a cold day skiing. It also weighs a ton. Don't buy this thing. You'll regret it. I'll never buy a helmet on the internet again.
