Rivera 2 Running Shoe - Men's

I am a very sporadic runner. I have had these shoes for maybe 45 days. They are already falling apart. The grip is separating from the bottom of the shoe in multiple places. The fabric is tearing along the sides. I normally purchase New Balance. I wish I had stayed with them. I ignored the other 1 star reviews that indicated the same issues that I am facing now. So shame on me. The return policy elapses at 30 days.

Absolutly love these shoes

My issue is not with the product. I recommend to every patient i can. I wisheds there was a referal program for practitioners. Take care of the ones that take care of you.

Foot shaped but way too narrow

After putting in 2k miles on my Torin 4s it was time for a new shoe. The Rivera seemed to be a good choice but it's too narrow and feel flat. No life at all. I'm happily back in my 2k mile Torin 4s!

Altra has sold out

Unfortunately Altra has sold out. Their "slim" is far too slim, their "standard" is almost good enough but still too slim to truly be comfortable. And they don't seem to offer any in their original width anymore. Nobody else is trying to compete with them in this area, so this is the best we have for now.

2nd Pair of Rivera's

ordered these as a easy day/recovery shoe, as they were great last time. feels like there's nothing underfoot, and I am running barefoot on the road! prob go back to the Escalante after these wear out

LOVE Altra - but sometimes they are so dissapointing

I love Altra shoes. However, buying from Altra is SO frustrating. I have a pair of Rivera 2 in 9.5. I bought a second EXACT pair and they are SHOCKINGLY larger. In addition, the shoes came with 2 right foot insoles. It is almost like Altra has no quality control.

a few comments. Comfort wise, they are great. I wish they had a slightly higher stack height. The only issue I have is the laces come undone all day long

Had to go up half a size

I wear 11 women's and usually 9.5 men's in Rivera. I had to go up half a size in the men's Rivera 2. I won't even bother trying the women's sizing as the men's 10 fits perfect. Go up a half size when you're transferring from women's sizes and the original Rivera.

I will keep buying this shoe again and again.

Have purchased 5 pairs in past year, these are my go to shoe for all road running at 40 plus miles per week. Most comfortable Altra I have owned. I purchased 2 extra pair of shoes in case Altra makes drastic changes to this shoe/model, as they seem to do to most of their shoes (Torin is a good example of how Altra changes their shoes and not for the better).

Nice Fit and Feel for Narrow Feet

Fits great for narrow feet. Extra room in the toe-box, but not too much. Has just the right amount of cushioning. I think I found my new go to.
