Quick Transitions with Tradeoffs
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- L
Pros: - Fast transitions: a quarter turn after unlocking one lever and they pop off, just as easy to put back on. Good at self-clearing snow and ice. - Solid parts, feels almost as good as a solid board binding. Cons: - Climbing elevator only has one angle. Not that big a deal imo, as most of the time when I was using the lower angle on Spark bindings I could've stayed flat and had a longer stride. - Highback doesn't rotate. I know this a little nit-picky for split bindings, but because I ride with my front foot at +24 degrees (maxed out) I get less heel edge hold and a bit of calf bite after a long day, but only if there's a lot of downhill.
