Velo Safe II Pro-Series Bike Case
Few things are more vulnerable to the capricious hobgoblins of travel-related dings and dents than bicycles. Whether it's as simple as a bent derailleur hanger or as serious as a structural failure, the woes of traveling with a bike or two are assuaged by Tri All 3 Sports' Velo Safe II Pro-Series Bike Case. This is the bomb
I needed a case for a trip and a friend had just purchased this case for her TT. All I have to say this case was great. It took me awhile to figure out the best situation but watched a video on their website and boom done. Several nice things about this case 1. PRICE a 2 bike case at this price how could you go wrong. 2. Easy Rolling through the airport or across uneven surfaces. I had a few friends with different cases tipping over but with Tri's it just pulled right behind me. 3 Fitting of the Bike. Once strapped down it wasn't moving. I used Pipe insulation for extra protection 4. This case I was able to pack extra items, Helmet, shoes, some clothing. Again while others had to take an extra suitcase I was able to pack into the case. Side note I only had 1 bike in a two bike case so I had extra room. Also I stayed under weight for airline shipping so only had oversize fee. So would I recommend this case. That is a YES

Served me well as a Cat 2
- I've put it through the wringer
I've beaten the heck out of the Tri All 3 Sports Velo Safe Case and am a huge fan. I've traveled extensively to stage races with my road and TT bikes, and this case made it a very pleasant experience. The best part is obviously being able to pack up 2 complete bikes within 15 minutes -- pretty great! But the bonus is that it gives you a built in trolley for carrying all of your other bags through the airport. You can put any additional luggage on top of the case and then wheel it up to the baggage check. I've even walked it over a mile from the Pasadena Goldline back to my apartment. Final selling point -- if you ever have to take a public bus system to the airport after a race (which I wouldn't necessarily recommend), this case fits perfectly in the wheelchair lift, making it easy to carry with you on planes, trains and automobiles. So yeah, maybe I'm biased because I used this case during some of my favorite times racing bikes, but if you need to travel with 2x bikes on a regular basis, it's hard to go wrong with this one.

- I've used it several times
The problem with this bike case is that the wheels are prone to damage (good luck if this happens when when traveling to your race venue). I called the company to see if they would replace a broken caster and was instructed to go to Home Depot and buy one myself. When I explained that the company website says they guarantee everything on the case I was told that they have no control over who handles the case and therefore don't know if it was handled properly. OF course they have no control! Neither do I! That's the nature of shipping a bike. On this planet, you don't get to interview bag handlers at the airline, fedex, etc. If there's a more serious problem with the case I doubt that this company would stand behind any guarantee.

Funny I called the company and the owner returned my call within a couple of hours. He is a problem solver and is willing to work with you. I was going to London and he was helping me find alternative parts due lack of tone to send them. It was my fault. I lent the case to a friend and not everything came back with the case. Hope that helps you.

Yes, I packed an XL Santa Cruz TallBoy LTc in this case and took it on planes, trains and a small van from AZ to the Highland of Bonny Scotland and back without any trouble. I was able to pack all my gear and spares into the case as well. Pro Tip: Go to your local hardware store and buy pipe insulation to wrap your entire bike in when packing.

Is there enough room for the wheelsets too...
Is there enough room for the wheelsets too or are they packed separately? Thanks

I was only able to pack one front wheel with two bikes in this case. I borrowed a Tri All hard wheel case which holds 1 front and 2 rear wheels nicely. I would like to know if anyone has been able to put 4 wheels with 2 road bikes in this box.
