We love this little guy!
We had the scout and was not impressed. But this Ranger is exactly what we were looking for! It is as good as our pro elite and uses less pellets. It is perfect for just the 2 of us.

Rough break-in
Followed the break-in directions but the Ranger didn't. The auger would not turn on. I did a regular start up and got it going. Heats up fast and it should as small as it is. It will be great for our travel trailer.

Beyond Annoyed
Beyond annoyed that this site has no info on taking care or anything towards the ranger pellet grill. No support for this style grill at all, on this website. Don't need info on other pellet grills, need specific support for ranger grill a travel grill that gets turned on its side and moved around that would have specific instructions for cleaning that style.

Portability, and how quickly it cools down.
I have been using my Ranger for a couple years now. My favorite meal cooked on this grill is Spatchcocked Chicken. The small cooking chamber really works well for this meal.

Started on fire burned to top
I like the grill but mine started on fire and ruined the finish on the top cover. I only owned it 4 months and had one for over 4 years never a problem. I doubt Traeger will do anything for me.

No Longevity
Bought it to use for camping and had it stored in a garage. Used it a total of about 10 times over 2 years and flame stop igniting and then couldn’t maintain power even when plugged in at the house to inspect. Unfortunately out of warranty.

Very Disappointed
I received a Treager Trailhead as a Christmas present. I have used it four times and am very disappointed in the results I have had. I have had a Treager for many years and had great results. This grill will not hold temperature. I set it to 350 degrees it heats up then drops down to 300 degrees and will not get any hotter no matter what I do. am getting ready to return grill.

Broke the second use.
I bought this 2 weeks ago. Made a prime rib came out perfect. Next time I was going to make ribs. The auger broke and pellets were not ejected into the burner. Bought tri tips, ribs, chickens to cook for a football party.. Now I wasted all this money for a unit that broke right away.

Christmas Dinner for 12
My Thermador double oven went on the fritz during Christmas weekend and we had 12 people coming for dinner. We baked cookies, pies, potatoes and a 10 lb rib roast (which was cooked to perfection) all on our Traeger Ranger! It worked like a champ and I now have confidence to try so many more things with this amazing little grill.
