Little bit about me. I ride my bike to work most days, and tend to carry a lot of stuff with me. I also tend to not be very gentle with my backpack, so I wanted a bag that could stand up to weather on the way to work, as well as my general abuse.
First off this pack looks great. Its got a very sleek and professional look, even though it's seriously huge on the inside. The clips on the side help with this, as you can somewhat tailor the shape of the pack depending on how much stuff you are carting around. I actually got compliments on my backpack, so I know I am not the only one who thinks this is a good looking pack.
The Fit is great as well. The pack breathes pretty well on the back considering it's not an UL bag by any means, and the shoulder straps + stowable hip straps give you plenty of support whether you are walking around campus or biking to work.
As far as the features go, I give timbuk 2 an A+ for the design. Lots of well thought out pockets on this bag, with fool features like magnetic closures, roll tops etc. I am a total sucker for a roll top as you can fit a ridiculous amount of stuff and not have to worry about stressing a zipper to seal everything in. Comes with padded laptop sleeve as well, which is great for the urban professional or student who more than likely needs to carry their laptop / tablet around with them. Also construction and fabric is burly. This pack almost feels like the urban professional version of a haul bag, but with loads of compartments to keep everything organized, and a way better look. Last but not least is the reflective front bottom of the pack. This thing lights up like a beacon if a light is shone directly at it. This feature is really appreciated as an urban commuter myself, every little bit of protection from traffic is more than welcome.
All in all I would highly highly recommend this bag to anyone who commutes via bike, foot or public transit to school / work etc and wants a singluar pack that can fit all their stuff for the day, and handle anything that the conditions may throw at them.
Picture coming soon when I can get around to taking one.
A weatherproof rolltop that's strong as steel, the Clark Pack has room for everything you need and a little more. Clark features multiple exterior pockets for separating delicate devices from heavy U-locks and its rolltop closure keeps the weather out of the main compartment. With nearly impenetrable PVC construction, grommeted drain holes, and a removable rainfly, Clark will protect your gear from flash floods and bad guys.
