    Himalayan One-Piece Suit

If your next adventure involves the high peaks of the Himalayas, Andes, or any other butt-kicking range, arm yourself with The North Face Himalayan One-Piece Suit. Insulated and weather-defying, this suit's Pertex Endurance ripstop and abrasion-resistant DryVent (2-layer) constructions not only endure heavy-duty use and abuse, but also provide waterproof, breathable protection in the worst alpine conditions. The Himalayan's also filled with lofty and compressible 800-fill goose down in the upper body, and 700-fill in the lower body, as well as Primaloft Gold insulation in the lower leg where the gaiters compress the suit.

The fully welded baffle design evenly distributes the downy insulation to eliminate cold spots and provide all-encompassing warmth. There are full-leg zips that finish at a horseshoe drop seat for ultra convenience, and an extra-long two-way double zip front makes interior access, dressing, and undressing a cinch. A full-length draft tube prevents heat-sapping gusts from sneaking in, and a thick draft collar around neck and shoulders retains warmth and keeps the cold out.

The expedition fit is cut loose for roomy comfort, mobility, and layering ease. An internal suspender system keeps the suit in place if you want to shed the upper half without removing the whole suit. Two generously-sized chest drop pockets secure and protect your alpine essentials. And to keep your pack in place, there are tough and grippy zones on shoulders and hips. Not to mention, for low-light starts or stormy, vicious weather, there's abundant reflective strips that ensure added visibility. Convenience, safety, and protection never felt so good.

    • Weather-proof down-insulated one-piece suit for arctic adventures
    • Waterproof, breathable membrane blocks out precipitation
    • Goose down fill and synthetic insulation delivers lofted, toasty warmth
    • Draft tube helps defend against frigid winds
    • Adjustable hood provides a customized fit and feel

    Himalayan suit rules!

    Familiarity:I've used it several times
    Fit:True to size

I was looking for a packable 1 piece suit for various winter activities. I saw this suit being used by people climbing various tall mountains in a variety of weather conditions. I can wear this suit with just a base layer underneath in temps below 34F and be warm, but not hot. The Himalayan suit has many options for venting excess heat. The main reasons i chose this are: Traveling to areas with unpredicatable weather conditions, winter camping, Star gazing, and walking my border collie--who is from Wyoming. The dog does not care how cold it is outside...he wants to take a walk no matter what. It was 21F this morning with 14mph winds....that feels really cold here in N. Georgia where we have sweltering summers. I wore my suit and it was a quite enjoyable 2 mile hike with my dog . I would highly recommend the North Face Himalayan suit to anyone who likes to be warm in the winter weather. It has many more uses in addition to mountain climbing (i havent done that ..yet)
