Amazingly light and comfortable out of the box! Only spent 2 days in them so far but I’m very pleased. No hot spots at all on first tour of 7 miles and 3k elevation gain. The only issue I experienced was forward lean. They are a little more upright than my regular resort boots and I initially noticed that I was a bit on my tails during the downhill. I adjusted the forward lean from 12 to 13 and then added the cuff spoilers (provided). That made a big difference and I’ve subsequently replaced the stock spoilers with slightly thicker Full Tilt brand spoilers. Haven’t skied with those yet but the boot feels much more balanced and much more like what I’m accustomed to now.

Bought these for a recent backcountry trip. Conditions were quite crusty due to recent rain event and these boots performed phenomenally. I have a pair of Scarpa Alien RS which are also great (like wearing sneakers) but that would have been unbelievably tough in heavy crust conditions like we faced. Once you get used to the Scarpa's you can take them down most anything but it just is not as fun once the terrain gets more challenging. The Zero G's were very easy on the uphill (light and decent flex) but just awesome on the downhill. Not sure I would call it a 130 flex but it does the trick and really buckles down well. As for sizing - the 28.0 Scarpa Alien RS fits me perfectly and I went with the 27.5 zero Gs which fit great too. The 27.5 zero g has a much longer foot base than the 28.0 Aliens so it just required some slight binding adjustment to swap between the two. I generally run in a 10.5 trail running shoe (Saucony and Saloman) if that helps anyone working on sizing questions.

You might by now know the legendary status of these boots - if you don't - just watch any ski mountaineering/ free touring film in the past year and a half and you will find at least one of the athletes rocking these boots. They are built to do exactly as they are intended - be as light as possible, while still offering a stiff and truly strong progressive 130 flex. - These boots absolutely charge. - They are as light as you are gonna get in the weight class. The weight savings on the buckles, and grilamid plastic, makes them feel light on the approach. - Carbon reinforced provides that stiff strength. - Simple and usable walk mechanism that locks and stays put - no icing up here. And if they do, you can get at it. - Great range of motion for a 4 buckle overlap boot. - Easy to get in and out of (relatively) and the liners out of the box are, in my opinion, fantastic. The game has changed.
