The Medieval X is an upgraded version of my Swix WTC 9-1 carbon plus poles I have owned for over 5 years. The Medieval X is made of carbon fiber. Extremely lightweight and virtually unbreakable. Thinner than aluminum poles, more stylish appearance. Excellent grips with tabs over the hand for better control. Added bonus on the Medieval X: detachable larger baskets are included for powder days. These poles could be some the best available for the serious recreational skier.
