Powder day ritual.
The Stoic Men's Midweight Crew Baselayer Top is the first thing you slip into when you're alarm clock chimes at seven in the morning, and it keeps you warm while you wait for the lifts to start running while ski patrol gets the mountain ready to open. Its warm, breathable midweight stretch construction manages moisture and remains breathable once you're finally able to open up some high-speed powder turns down the mountain.

I'm digging this base layer so far. The material is really a mid-weight like it suggests and the thumbholes are awesome if your jacket doesn't have them. I would say it runs bigger than most Stoic so don't size up.
This is a great piece for the price. The fit is true to size. I am 6 ft 170 lbs and wear a medium. Nice fleecy feel inside.

They are pretty thick and warm. Runs a little small like most stoic stuff. Worth the cash
Ok, I'm looking for a base layer that is slick against the mid layer. I love wool but man is it not slick! So, these tops are inexpensive as all heck which makes me nervous about their wicking abilities. Getting the chills shuts me down. I have to hike a lot where I ski so I sweat like crazy. Do we have any idea how the functional properties of these layers are? Thank you for any info! Be well. And have fun out there!
