    Happy Feet, Happy Goat

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Was looking to add onto my sock collection and normally go with Darn Tough all the way but wanted to try Backountry brand socks. These socks are super comfortable/soft with a fair amount of cushion underfoot and around the toes. I would like to see these socks in a crew length as well for tall boots. These come in anatomical sizing with a left and right sock.

For when you can't wait until Christmas

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Short on socks? These are great every day socks with a merino blend, so I can wear them for days on end without getting too stinky. And for the price, you can't beat a deal like this! I wish they were a bit taller, but overall they fit great.

    Comfy Feet

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Simple, useful socks. These are comfortable and hold up well. The wool keeps my feet dry and manage moisture well. I have also liked the way the merino wool keeps the smells at bay. These are not super high tech or ultra long lasting but for day to day wear I have bought multiple pairs and worn them almost daily for years.

    Good Socks

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

At first I was concerned about the length, too short for a calf sock and too long for an ankle sock. After a few minutes all concerns were dismissed. Socks stay put, kept my feet dry and wore well for a four day back pack trip. The last day as we were getting ready to fly out of the wilds it snowed a few inches and my socks got wet. I hung them in my tent and even in damp, cold conditions they were reasonably dry in a few hours.

    Keep buying them

    • Fit: True to size

I like these socks a lot and they seem to last a while. I wash and dry them like all my other socks. My issue is the tip on my big toe seems to destroy these socks after a few months - I wear them every day. I have enough pairs to get me through the week and then some.
They feel great and don't hold smells very much which is a huge plus when backpacking. I have never gotten a blister with these but like I mentioned then seem to wear faster than some of the other options out there. But when they go on sale I still buy a fe pairs to replace the ones I burn through.

    Not too hot

I find a lot of hiking socks overheat my feet, and are basically ski socks with different branding. These are the right cut, thickness and material. I've used these on hikes in hot weather, while using my waders, and around the house and they've worked well in all scenarios.

    Killer deal for warm socks!

These socks are so warm and cozy, but keep your feet cool as well. The magic of merino at a fraction of the cost. I never had a problem with my feet being cold, but going outside on a cold morning with these on surprised me with how warm they are. I also wear them in the heat of the summer with motorcycle boots to keep my feet cool. Definitely my favorite socks. Just wish they came in black like they used to.

    Great Socks!

I like these socks a lot, especially for the price. They have good cushion on the bottom, are breathable, and feel quality made. I've been wearing them to the office, hiking, and running. I'll be buying more in the future.

    My go to Sock

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I can't tell you how many packs of these socks I've purchased over the years. I use these almost exclusively at my other job as an ER nurse. They are super comfy. And they wick moisture well phenomenally. My feet never get stinky or clammy. Merino wool is the way to go for socks. And stoic makes a great product for a great price.

    Favorite socks, favorite price!

I have been using these socks primarily for my first Utah season of winter running, and they have delivered! Even when my shoes get soaked, these keep my feet warm (I love wool for that), and they haven't shrunk in the dryer at all! The padding hits my feet in all the right places for running and protecting my bunion area from bruising against my heavy backpacking boots. I also love that they are snug around the arch! They are also super nice to wear to work to keep my feet warm in the office. I will definitely be getting at least one more set of these!

I had already bought a pack of these and loved them so much I came back for more. I wear these trail running and love the high coverage to protect my ankles against sticks, bushes, the cold, (and occasionally my other foot). Can't beat 3 pairs of Merino socks for sub 20 bucks!

I wear a size 10 athetic shoe and the M/L are right on the money.

Update: Just bought my 3rd pair.

    Good value for the price.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I think these are great socks to have in the rotation. They are great value for the price. If you are willing to spend a lot of money on socks, Darn Tough and Smartwool are higher quality for sure. But these hold up and feel great. Wool is a great material!
