A really good sock for cold-weather outdoor activities
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm an avid cyclist, but... fair weather. Once the winter comes rolling around, you'll see my bike on a trainer indoors. BUT... this year I decided to make the move outside for some winter rides and needed outdoor workout gear. I tried the base layer and jackets you get at sporting good stores, but... you get what you pay for. So I decided to go with Merino wool, and I trust SmartWool. I've always been a big fan of their socks, so I tried these paired up with the base layer bottom, LS shift, and jacket on an outdoor 18⁰ gravel ride, and was warm the whole time. Being Merino wool, didn't have to worry about sweat as the material is moisture wicking. So yeah, FIVE stars! I have about 15 pairs of SmartWool socks, but a few more pair probably wont hurt.
