Best in Class Neoprene Wading Booties

These are the third pair that I’ve owned and I use them exclusively for wade fishing beaches and inshore flats along the Gulf Coast of Florida. They’re a little more expensive than some other options but definitely worth it. They’re by far the most durable and provide better ankle support and protection from rocks and oysters than any other brands I’ve tried over the years. Most importantly, I’ve never had a zipper get stuck and break trying to zip them up. As you can see in the picture I’ve provided, the ZilpIt II Flats Booties complete my collection of Simms wading boots.

Awesome booties

These booties are awesome. Definitely buy one size over your usual shoe size. Easier to get on and off that way. Especially when wet. I usually don’t wear wading socks with them but it’s an option if wading great distances (Christmas Island) Large zippers prevent getting clogged with sand the debris but still need to rinse well when done wading . Recommend these booties.

The M boots were purchased as a birthday gift, my son really liked them.... he loves the outdoors and fishing. They will be used a lot.

Simms Wading Boots in Saltwater.

Replacing a pair of competitors wading booties used in the Bahamas once and discarded. Simms booties are much better quality in materials, design and construction. Notably, the boots are supportive of ankles and thick enough in the soles to protect feet from cuts or bruising from coral or limestone terrain. Beware that boots are a 1/2 to a full size smaller than designated. I bought size 14 to fit what I usually wear at 12 1/2 and they fit fine with a light sock.

Passing the test of time

Like everyone says size up. My second year with these in FL very comfortable all day. Sand doesnt seem to ever penetrate. The glue used to weld them has turned yellow from the sun but its not a beauty contest. Great boot

Flats foot weat

Spent 7 straight days fishing the flats in the Bahamas chasing bonefish in these and they were very comfortable and performed perfectly. Never had any issues with blisters or felt corral or sharp rocks on my feet.

Hot but serviceable

Sizing seems off: I wear women's 8, I ended up with men's 9, typically I wear men's 6. No support if you're wading for long stretches. If I had time to trade in one more time I would have gotten a larger size to fit support insoles. They're hard to get on, but once you're zipped in they're secure. The days I fished from the boat, in 85° with 80% humidity, they were hot. In the water they were just right. They held up well over my 1-week trip.

Fits like A glove but SIZE UP

So comfy on the flats. SIZE UP. I am 9 and got a 10 and they are perfect. Fits like a glove but not too tight. Just perfect. Also rinse off the zipper before unzipping otherwise will jam just like any zipper. Thanks Simms.

NEW Zipit II Flats Booties made my day!

Super comfortable and velcro flap at top of zipper keeps zipper from coming down when you are moving around…so no sand, gravel, etc., grinding against your foot and distracting from hunting on the flats!
