Why We Like The Iccha Hooded Jacket

When it comes to keeping warm in the winter, we're wearing the Iccha Hooded Jacket. It has a lot of warmth for the surprisingly low-bulk synthetic insulation that it offers. The polyester face fabric lends plenty of breathability while also helping to brush away light moisture with a DWR finish. This piece nods its head to an eco-conscious lifestyle thanks to its fully recycled fabric and insulation.

Runs small, unless you are very lean

I bought this as a run around, hiking, skiing insulator, etc. jacket. I like the idea of what Sherpa A.G. stands for, and it seemed like a solid choice for my needs. Unfortunately I didn't read all the reviews - this jacket runs a little small. If you are already on the 'top side' of your current size (for me I usually wear a Medium, but slim fitting shirts and jackets I have to go up to Large because the shoulders and arms never seem to fit right). This is one of those - I could wear the jacket, but reaching both arms forward, for example, caused the jacket to be fairly tight under the arms and across the back, to the point that I thought it probably not possible to wear for its intended use. It was also a tight around the bottom draw string of the jacket. I'm normally a 34 waist, and it didn't fit. In the end - 6 ft. tall, 195 lbs, 40 inch chest, 34/35 inch waist - need a Large.

This jacket is very warm, comfortable, and well-constructed. In my honest opinion the quality is on par if not better than my North Face and Outdoor Research jackets, but for a much better price. At 5'11" 170lbs, the large fits well with room for a mid-layer.

Great jacket for the price

I bought this Jacket 65% off in the blue version and it is hands down the best jacket for the money I've ever purchased. I was looking for something warm in 20-30 degrees around town without having to layer and this fits the bill perfectly. I'm 6'0" 180lbs muscular build. If I was any taller or longer arms I would need the XL. The jacket fits snug. Its warm soft and well made. The only cons: not a huge fan of the gussets on the arms, zipper could be a little better. When zipped all the way the front hits my face awkwardly and there is no material keeping zipper from touching my face. I'm comparing this to my $300 arteryx atom lt. That jacket is so comfortable and refined. But for below $100 the Iccha is great and very warm. I would say even at $150 it's a good value If the jacket added those little improvements I would give 5 stars. Its fine without though. I will report back on quality after a couple seasons.

Iccha Hooded Jacket is WARM!

Truthfully, I did not expect much as this jacket was marked down significantly when I bought it. I wanted it to wear under a shell when hiking and snowboarding. I've come to love it more than my other jackets. The synthetic fill is much more compact than I expected, and much warmer. Not sure how it works so well, but for a person who often is cold, this jacket is doing the job for me at the beginning of winter. The quality of the materials appears excellent as well.

I have used it a handful of times so far, but really enjoy it. I have used various Patagonia, North Face, Columbia and Marmot jackets. This one stands out for me, I enjoy the styling and it's very comfortable and warm. Durability is under review at the moment. Only thing to note is it runs just a tiny bit on the large size, but nothing to be concerned about. I like it though, it gives a little space for layers underneath.
