Why We Like The USL-1600 E-Lume Headlight

When we find ourselves sandbagged in the middle of nowhere and no end to our ride in sight, we're thankful to have the USL-1600 E-Lume Headlight to light our way. It features a compact and lightweight aluminum design and a super bright 1600 lumen output, not to mention a water-resistant rating that means we could dunk this light in a puddle without risk of damage. It fully charges in three hours and features a last mode memory feature that remembers our favorite setting and reverts back to it when it powers up so we don't have to fiddle around.

Love it after getting it set up

Familiarity:: I've used it several times

I had low expectations when I received the light since its box was open and the insert was crumpled... it had clearly been opened and returned. However, I was pleasantly surprised but can understand why someone may have returned it. The strap to get the light on my handlebars was frustrating to seat fully into the holder. It took a lot of patience, and after that was in, the thumb release was really fumbly getting it on my bars. But wow, what a light! I love the levels of battery indicator, and it is plenty bright when commuting in the darkness. The two LED's have a nice, wide path of illumination. Since the mounting strap is a thick rubber, it stays in place unlike other plastic mounts that start to slide when you hit bumps. I haven't yet had a rain storm while using this on the commute, but hopefully it stands up to its waterproof rating. If the mounting process was less frustrating, this would have been five stars.

Poor mounting options

Familiarity:: I've used it several times

Great light. Poor mounting options. You can only mount with the wrap around the bar bracket. No Gopro or twistlock options.
