Flame Fm0 Sleeping Bag

The Women's Flame Fm0 Sleeping Bag is the lightest in Sea to Summit's Flame collection of ultralight bags built for backpacking. This bag is particularly useful in that it can double as a liner for the other Flame bags for increased warmth. By itself, the bag's 850+ down insulation provides a comfortable temperature rating of 55F, which is suitable for the middle of the summer. The down insulation is so lofty and compressible that the bag weighs a mere eight ounces, and it can pack down to the size of a water bottle so you can take it on adventure races. Sea to Summit treated the down with Ultra-Dry for hydrophobic properties that maintain the down's lofty warmth in moisture-riddled environments.

Comfortable and warm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the only sleeping bag made of artificial material that I've ever found comfortable. It's not too slippery or noisy, and it's very warm. It immediately fluffs up really well. And it's shockingly lightweight for its loft. 100% recommend.

Excellent balance of warm and lightweight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for a mild winter backpacking trip. For 3 seasons I have preferred a quilt and layers of clothing but I needed something warmer for winter and early spring/late fall. I am a back sleeper who struggles in the confines of a traditional mummy, yet I carry extra sleeping bags, food, and occasionally water for my dogs so I don't have weight to spare. This bag was wide enough that I didn't feel trapped while very lightweight and warm.

Zipper came off 1st zip...yikes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Zipper came off 1st zip...yikes. but got it back on. Slept great in 30 degree weather overnight ...in prep for steelhead fishing in Erie Pa. Roomy enough for a side sleeper, that's me :)! Warm and snuggled especially important for a raynauds sufferer. 1st trial in the bag was great! Next adventure...Appalachian trail!

Cozy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kept me warm and was easy to sleep sideways. My zipper did get stuck on night 4 and my bag tore. Thankfully, a friend had a repair patch.

Miserable sleeping bag

I bought the Flame 3 sleeping bag, comfort temperature -4°C for backpacking in the summer: I spent a month in the Swiss and Slovenian Alps (June/July) and a month in Iceland (August). Every single night that was below 10°C I froze in this sleeping bag. I had to use the silk sleeping bag, wear Merino underwear and usually also the down jacket so that I could sleep. This was truly the worst purchase of my life. I have a Marmot sleeping bag with a comfort temperature of -4°C in which I have never felt cold, even at sub-zero temperatures. These sleeping bags are two different worlds. I would not recommend this Flame 3 sleeping bag!

Featherlight and Cozy

Incredibly light and warm. I bought the 25°F / -4°C version and use it with a fleece liner both as an extra layer of warmth and to keep the inside clean. Since I tend to sleep cold, I will still wear warm layered clothes inside the bag when the temperature goes below freezing.
